If I had to rate a tea this one would be pretty OK, but it is about whisky so...

I do not get a lot from the nose to be honest at first but then i detect, wafer, mango a hint of breakfast marmalade. The palate is a little thinner than both WG and the 15 year and it has some bitterness also. In fairness it does improve a little but quality wise it is very mediocre so it will be around 75 points maybe a little higher.

This one surprised me in a positive way, for I expected some kind of Winter's Gold edition, as the name suggested a little. But is was not like that sweet and weak stuff at all: A bit 'darker' fruits, spicy, oranges. It made me remind of the Distiller's Edition, which is much better than the Winter's Gold in my opinion.

Not my favorite Stark this whisky.

Another winters gold rebottling. +1 for new label.

Pleasant NAS Dalwhinnie.

Amber color. Pretty oily structure.

1175) Game of Thrones Series, Dalwhinnie Winter's Frost - House Stark, Limited Edition N- Befitted coldest distillery for the house of Stark at Winterfell. A slow starter but evolving well as it breath, gentle and comfort to the nose throughout. Honey candy with boiled spices with wisp of buttery fresh grounded sweet peppers. Dominant pleasant floral mingled well in the clusters of vanilla, orange smokes and enticing eucalyptus, also fresh pines. (87/21) P- Creamy with nutty oil, buttery, orange peel and juicy honey, balanced of oak, soft liquorice for a full mouthfeel. Simple but nice. (86/20) F- Medium long, dry, mild spiciness with echoing zest for a lengthy finish. Spicy pickled soul fruits, chewy and playful for very pleasant sips. (88/22) B/B- 87/21 Cereal- 2, Fruity- 2, Floral- 2, Peaty- 0, Feinty- 2, Sulphury- 1, Woody- 2, Sinery- 2, Spicy- 2 Weighted Rate:- 84pt — at The Whisky Bar, Kuala Lumpur.

That's a decent whisky. Nothing to complain about and I would also give it to relax.

Winterfell When I noticed that Dalwhinnie was the malt linked to House Stark – somewhat the heroes of Game of Thrones – I was a bit disappointed, but on the other hand it is one of the coldest distilleries in Scotland at an elevation of 326 meters and a temperature of approx. 6° Celsius year round. The name makes me wonder if it is just a re-bottling of the Winter’s Gold, which I found to be mediocre. Fingers crossed. Well, the nose is quite pleasant, in fact. Vanilla, apples, bergamot, peach and raizins. Some menthol and cold coffee. Dark caramel. It’s a bit ‘darker’ that the Winter’s Gold, if you know what I mean. Plums. Honey. Cinnamon. Pleasant indeed. The arrival is okay-ish. Creamy and fruity with a feisty edge. Sweet and sour now, as if from oranges and Granny Smith apples, followed by some pepper and cinnamon. Ginger as well. And a floral note. Midpalate I get some lemon juice and quinine. The finish is medium long, honeysweet with a sour touch and a mild spiciness. Some tannins at the death. Well, this is much better than the Winter’s Gold! Pleasantly surprised.

N20 P20 F20 B21 Whisky. Better then RL but....

One week before the start of season 8, I am now starting to taste the frequently bottled "marketing whiskys" and try to be as neutral as possible. I would like to form my own opinion and am curious if the many critical voices are justified (or are it simply because they were empty at the first edition?). Now first the Shadowwolf, so House Stark - Dalwhinnie Winter's Frost - 43%. Nose: First came here a little - so 15 minutes time, has been worthwhile, is fuller and denser: red apple, warm AppleCrumble, maybe even strudel with a hint of raisin - alcohol yes, but well integrated - behind it, some anise and hints of licorice - My final assortment was a apple bag from McDonald's - overall, the nose pleases Taste: Immediately oak, slightly nut, peppery, slightly bitter, develops in the direction of caramelized almonds and rice waffle, some sourdough, oak again - generally pleasing, definitely no metallic youth, for 43% a bit too peppery on the go Finish: complacent oak flavors, a bit doughy, maybe some gingerbread, not overly long and not to compare with mature malts beyond the age of 18, for a NAS but not too shallow - overall OK In my rating 83/100 points - so very solid and obviously better than most reviews so far. In my opinion also priced ok - had worse for more money in the glass. The Dalwhinnie OA 15yo and also the Distillers Edition have a better PLV imho, but they are also very high on my personal list. My recommendation: Try it yourself and make your own opinion.

Consider the retail price, this is a good whisky with a smooth taste

Winter is coming is served as a warning from House Stark both against the Horrors beyond the wall and against their enemy's. I hope the whisky is a little more forgiving.

Pretty mediocre malt, not much complexity in it.

Not unpleasant and quite drinkable, but unfortunately without any highlight.

Comfortable to drink, but there are more exciting whiskys for the price

Honestly, I expected worse. The whisky is well balanced, does not look too young and goes well with summer. Of course, it lacks body and complexity, but this bottling is reminiscent of how good Dalwhinnie could be. Too bad that it often stays with the subjunctive.

Well balanced nose - fruit medley, caramel, vanilla and a little smoke deterred by a slight astringency. After a few minutes more fruit, peaches & plums, bursts out. Also a note of mint. Peaches, plums, tart lemon candies on the palate and is joined by cereals and floral notes. Towards the end there is a sour note before a long cereal finish. Overall - I am pleasantly surprised by this one, especially for the cost. This punched well above its weight and beat out a few "better" scotches in a few of my blind tastings.

Modest malt. I don't even know ... It is clear what this series takes, a beautiful tube and a bottle ... But in general, what can I say, a basic faceless single malt, which takes, of course, because it is part of the HBO collection - Game of the Thrones. Let's just say an affordable collection for many. For fans of the series and single malt, it will be cool to hold such a tube / bottle in their hands.

Very sweet but pleasant nose, taste develops nicely after a watery start but the finish is rather short and disappointing.

Dalwhinnie Winter's Frost House Stark is part of the Game of Thrones Single Malt Whisky Collection. House of Stark is located in the series in the icy Winterfell, located in the north. Ok it’s basically the 15 in a different bottle. If there’s a difference it’s so small it’s not noticeable

Nose: Toffee, Sawdust, Honey, Vanilla, Canned Pineapple, Red Apple, Oak, Palate: White bread, vanilla, allspice, tobacco leaves, green apple, spices, Simple, vanilla and uncomplicated whisky

Nose: Sweetness of honey and fruit, slightly smoky, and a little malt. Palate: Honey comes through followed by a little smoke and spice. Smooth and fruity as well. Hint of vanilla/maple syrup. Finish: Very smooth. Vanilla stronger on the finish. Malty as well. Did not expect this much sweetness but I am very happy about it! Overall Score: 87. This is my second Game Of Thrones bottle I’ve tasted and so far they’re 2 for 2. Very enjoyable and mellow. The smokiness and the malt is excellent. I’m very pleased that my allegiance to The North has proven to be the right decision.

Good daily dram,i wish this not a special release. You can not ask too much for a 43% ABV whisky

The second whisky I drink from this series. has a more complex nose than the singleton. again, sweet, apple, honey. Soft in taste, but the taste is over if you don't pay attention. Get some water teeth, but also taste lightly pepper. The strongest aftertaste.
