Мягкий фруктовый профиль (жёлтые фрукты, мёд, ваниль, лёгкие пряности), лёгкий и питкий; вердикт единодушен — приятно, но просто и не тянет на 15 лет, разброс оценок узкий (в основном 79–83).

В аромате доминируют светлые и сушёные фрукты — яблоко, груша, абрикос, слива, персик — с мёдом, ванилью, цитрусовой цедрой, лёгкой цветочностью и мягкими пряностями (корица, чёрный перец, мускат); нос почти все хвалят как самое удачное в напитке. Во вкусе продолжается сладко-фруктовая, солодовая, слегка кремовая и ореховая линия с тоффи и оттенком дуба, но многие отмечают водянистость, лёгкую разбалансированность и быстро уходящий спирт; послевкусие короткое или среднее, солодово-древесное с мёдом, без сложности. Опытные ревьюеры расходятся сильнее прочих: от восторженных 90 (насыщенный десертный, джемовый характер) и удачной партии на 85 до резкой критики, что напиток по нёбу и послевкусию тянет разве что на пятилетний, сильно разбавленный до 40%, и что при 46% был бы заметно лучше; звучит и мысль, что 12-летний вкуснее 15-го. Основная же масса оценок сбита плотно в диапазоне 79–83 с общим вердиктом «достойно за свои деньги, но просто и неярко»; за пределы выбиваются лишь единичные резко негативные отзывы, винящие обильную подкраску (карамельный колер) в прогорклой солёно-карамельной ноте. Согласованность высокая: почти все сходятся, что это лёгкий летний фруктовый виски, приятный, но лишённый глубины и сложности, ожидаемой от пятнадцати лет выдержки.

I had the 15 Singleton of Dufftown in the glass, but unfortunately without seeing the bottling date or the bottle code. In any case, it must have been a very good batch, because I remembered the whisky really positively, despite its rather modest key data. It will definitely be tried again at some point in order to confirm or reject the first impression.
Нос 86 cherries! Apricots, white vineyard peach, pear, sandalwood, milk chocolate, fresh birch wood, rose water, lovage. All very harmonious and soft. The whisky lives up to its name. A lavish fruit without ever being overpowering. It may lack some complexity, but you can't ask for that in this price range.
Вкус 85 Gentle, juicy and fruity on the tongue. Yellow fruits, mirabelle plum, vanilla, some mint, peanuts. Incredibly soft and round. Very pleasant on the palate and absolutely easy drinking on mild summer evenings!
Финиш 83 Rather short with a little mint at the beginning and then a good portion of fruit. Not very complex, but enjoyable.

Not really complex, rather fruity, light and easy drinkable, starts very good on the nose, but cannot catch up on the palate and in the finish - unbelievable that this should be 15yo - I would give probably 5yo and heavily diluted to 40%

H2H Dufftown OB 12 year 40% 2017 (old livery) - 108571 -83/86/85 15 year 40% latest version - 165382 - 84/83/80 18 year 40% latest version - 176121 - 84/84/81 Trinite Nas 40% travel retail - 42191 - 83/84/83 None of these will set your world on fire, I think the 12 year tastes better than the 15 or 18 but not sure what the latest 12 year tastes like called lucious nectar? If these were bottles at 46% they would be much better for it

The fruits are more pronounced, even spicy, blood orange, clementine, melon, lemon and grapefruit juice, juicy apples and pears, white grapes, prickly pears. Creamy vanilla in the background, with some floral touches. The palate is still very clear, but a little less than with the 12 year old, still fruity, slightly honeyed, biscuity, with very light spices. The finish is correct without being really remarkable, barely long, light but a little punchy, toasted wood, cereals, egg custard, brown sugar and sponge cake. Almonds. Fruit, sultanas, malt, a little sherry cask, very pleasant aromas. Creamy, bittersweet, a little leathery, citrus. Medium finish. Very full of flavour, more pronounced leather and creaminess. Slightly lower in strength, good to drink.

13/04/2025 79.5 / 100 AROMA - 19.5 / 25 Sweet and slightly dessert-like, with notes of ripening pears, flowers, sweet orange juice, peach, and honey, along with a touch of honey and wood. Pleasant, but with a slight alcoholic note. It's not much better than the 12-year-old version. TASTE - 21.5 / 25 Slightly grainy, slightly salty and sweet, with hay and tobacco, a touch of wood, cornflakes, and dry walnuts, along with dry apples and pears. It's pleasant, and the alcohol fades rather quickly. A straightforward whisky with the alcohol well-hidden. FINISH - 18.5 / 25 Medium-long finish, malty/woody with subtle notes of caramel, honey, and charred wood. Simple but pleasant and well-balanced. BALANCE - 20 / 25 Much better than the 12th edition. It has a certain intensity and structure. You can't expect miracles here, but it delivers what you pay for and can easily be a better, more casual alternative to the 12th edition.

Totally overpowered by the added (large) amount of 'zuckerkolor', which makes the whole thing a bit rancid for me. Salted caramel in a whisky? Really can't imagine a 15 year old whisky - however bad - could taste any worse without the coloring! So really only needed for the color.....? The first single malt in my life, which I didn't drink and empty the glass. Bah!

Overall, I can say it didn't feel like a typical 15-year-old whisky. While the aroma was a bit stronger, it wasn't particularly appealing otherwise. Despite its 40% alcohol content, it can leave a harsher taste on the palate. It might have fallen short of my expectations for its age, but considering the price, it's much more affordable than similar brands. In that respect, it's a decent price-performance whisky.
Нос 80 On the nose, I sense a hint of sweet vanilla and sweet malt, a light oak spice, very ripe fruits like pear, apple, apricot, and peach. I also felt a bit of bitterness and acidity, like a touch of citrus peel.
Вкус 79 On the palate, there's a sweet vanilla note similar to the nose, along with a slightly sweet malt taste. Spices are a bit more prominent here, with black pepper and a hint of oak bitterness. There are also aromas of citrus peels and a slightly bitter grapefruit. I can also say that I detected a faint taste of alcohol in the background.
Финиш 78 The finish is neither too watery nor too dry, somewhere in between. It begins with a very brief sweetness and citrus notes, followed quickly by the warmth of spices like black pepper and a slightly menthol-like sensation, and finally ends with a very superficial peach aroma—I would describe it as short, or maybe a little longer.

Aroma: Fruity, fresh orange, citrus peel, pears, honey, apples, honey breakfast cereal, cinnamon, some dried fruits Taste: Clearly fruity, citrus fruits, orange, lemon, apples, pears, lots of honey, a hint of vanilla, the finish is medium long, honey-fruity, smooth and gently fading Overall Impression: A decent whisky, clearly fruity, however it lacks some complexity and depth expected from a 15 year old whisky

Was surprised by the spiciness of this whisky, and it's not the abv, it's from the oak. It's hugely different from it's 12yo sibiling. This is much more challenging. I could detect a decent amount of European oak used. It was quite intense despite the low 40% abv, they compensated the low abv with more intense casks. Another good value dram from the singleton of dufftown

Smells lovely. Taste is okay, not too strong in flavour bit metallic but also immensly sweet. The finish is quite strong and long to me. Overall a pretty good one, not the best at this price point and year by far.
