Классический Клайнлиш из-под бурбона: восковой, цитрусово-медовый, свежий, полнотелый и маслянистый. Опытные единодушно ставят высоко за баланс и характер; расхождение даёт лишь один голос, отметивший неприятную горечь и резкость в послевкусии.

В аромате — восковая нота, ваниль, тоффи, мёд и нектар, светлые фрукты (груша, персик, ананас, банан) с цитрусовой свежестью и деликатной кислинкой; лимон, белый перец, белые цветы и лёгкая травянистость. Вкус полнотелый, жирный и маслянистый, сладко-кислый: лимонная глазурь, сладкие апельсины, тростниковый сахар, воск и мёд с оттенком белого перца и минеральности. Вода раскрывает образец сильнее, делая его ещё более восковым и сливочным при сохранении баланса. Послевкусие средней длины, цитрусово-пряное, слегка сушащее.
Хвалят за эталонный баланс выдержки в бурбоне, элегантность, свежесть и узнаваемый восковой характер винокурни, а также за маслянистое тело. Опытные ревьюеры согласованно держат оценки на уровне 88–90, оценивая типичность и гармоничность; один из них прямо называет напиток образцовым представителем стиля. Единственное заметное расхождение исходит от менее высокой оценки (81), где послевкусие описано как неприятно горькое и резкое, с сухостью. В остальном разброс мнений минимален, оценки плотно сгруппированы у 88–90, что говорит о высокой согласованности восприятия.

A true textbook example of a well-balanced whisky coming from ex-bourbon wood. It's elegant, fresh, fruity and creamy. The finish gives a pleasing spicy warmth.
Aroma: cider, apples, freshly mown grass, vanilla, marzipan, spicy spices, burnt sugar, molasses Taste: citrus, spicy spices, wax, mowed grass, rum, quite dry Finish: unpleasant bitterness, sharpness Rating: 3.5
Nose: White wine, lemoncurd, white pepper, the classic Clynelish nose is there, but more spicy. Hint of vanilla and toffee. With water it opens up more and more and you will get more sour sweet notes. This is a very very good Clynelish nose! Taste: Sweet lemon-icing. Sweet and sour, the classic Clynelish taste, but with more sweet lemon on top. Sweet oranges, lots of sour sweet hard candy. With water: it softens a bit, but still everything is very well balanced Body: Full fat and oily! Finish: Medium-long Zesty, lemon, citrus fruit, hint of pepper and a bit drying. Nose The nose opens with a typical, lovely waxy note. This is joined by vanilla, which lends a pleasant sweetness. Fruity aromas bring freshness to the glass and are accompanied by a delicate acidity. The aromas are clear and harmonious. With each passing minute, the dram opens up a little more. The taste On the palate, a delicate peppery note emerges first, quickly followed by the typical waxy character. The acidity provides freshness and maintains the balance. With water, the character changes significantly. The whisky becomes even more waxy and pleasantly creamy. A subtle sweetness and a touch of honey round out the profile without overshadowing the freshness. It is precisely with water that the Clynelish reveals its full potential. Conclusion I finally had this Highlander in a glass. Incredibly delicious.
