Вода спорна: одни считают, что напиток её почти не замечает, другие — что она уплощает вкус и убивает развитие, поэтому чаще советуют пить неразбавленным.
Оценки плотно сгруппированы в диапазоне 85–89, что говорит о высокой согласованности. Опытные ревьюеры ставят 87–89 и ценят баланс, солидную для хересной бомбы работу бочки, не забивающей спирт, и хорошее соотношение цены и качества, но все как один подчёркивают, что это не уровень Glendronach эпохи Билли Уокера. Quick hit review. Don't be fooled by the many high ratings: this Edradour is not comparable to Glendronach under Billy Walker. That said, it's a great modern sherry whisky from wet Oloroso butts. The nose leans towards sour cherries, cloves and cinnamon, rounded off by walnut cake, rich wood spices and marzipan. It's very inviting. Thick and oily in the arrival, the palate kicks off with mashed berries, oranges and dark chocolate. Even with water, it remains intense and quite punchy. Lemon zest, stewed fruits and some herbal notes push into the prolonged and mildly dry finish. A true sherry monster with a few rough edges, reasonably priced and fairly enjoyable. I agree that this is not quite Glendronach at it's best, but then neither is Glendronach anymore, and neither is it £1000. The colour is fantastic. No regrets buying this one.
| Нос | 87 | It smells about it's age, nothing ancient but not too young. Besides the colour, the nose is also indicative of a fresh wet cask. Lots of cherries, but also a few sweet raspberries. Fruit cake with nuts and chocolate. Not really spicy. A bit of cinnamon and wood. Water doesn't seem to affect it. |
| Вкус | 89 | It carries a punch. A lot more spice than on the nose. It starts off nutty, then goes red fruits, and continues to chocolate orange. Tasty and playful. Water reduces the spice and it becomes a bit flat and dryer, not evolving as much. I enjoyed it more neat. |

Powerful and balanced. Not a sherry bomb, but the sherry has nonetheless had just the right influence. (For me) the clear winner of an Edradour vertical tasting in April 2026. Good value for money.

It's far worse than batches #1 to #3; both the aroma and the taste are overpoweringly sweet with an industrial feel.

Typical modern sherry maturation that is elevated by the distinctive Edradour spirit. Sharp alcohol, some leather, cacao, wood spices, damp oak, dried fruits, dirty Edradour sour vomit note, caramelized nuts, peppers. Medium dry finish, the 59% abv is not integrated well. It's a bit flat lacking depth especially on the finish, compared to other SFTC, independent Signatory and Van Wees Edradour bottlings I was a bit dissapointed. An enjoyable Oloroso butts sandblasted malt? Yes and its deep dark cask color sure looks pretty! But don't be fooled by the high scores this doesn't hold a candle to the Glendronach core range bottlings at its peak if you ask me, much too unrefined and soaked in seasoned modern sherry oak. Basically an Edradour 10 at cask strenght. Even the average Signatory 100 proof releases offer more exciting stuff. It's 84 to 86 in my book and one for the red ones.

What a beautiful, deep, complex and rich sherry masterpiece. Well done, bravo! I can smell this beauty for hours and keep tasting for ages, so gentle and rewarding this dram is. Some say it’s modern and unlike «Glen»something… why worry?

If you absolutely love a sherry bomb, then this is one you should not skip. Mr Symington has done a great job in bringing prices down making this a very good value dram. The flavour is obviously a very rich sherry note. However the cask influence is not overpowering the spirit. Yes the influence is heavy, but it's not musty or stale, it still has some fresh fruits in there from the spirit. The flavour of the sherry reminds me very much of the older bottlings of Glendronach 21y/o Parliament. This being at near on a thrid of the price makes that high praise. At 59% ABV this is a hefty one. Apart from a teaspoon to add water you might want to bring a knife and fork for this one. It's thick and oily and coats the mouth. The finish is very long and rich. This is a fantastic winters dram and will certainly accompany me during the holiday season's festivities.

Nose Sour-tinged spice, pomegranate juice, grapes, grape juice, a slightly musty note, and brown sugar. Palate Thick, rich sherry comes first, followed by a strong citrus note. Lime zest, raisin jam, dark chocolate, and some woody notes. Toward the end of the palate, there is a sharp metallic edge, almost like graphite. A faint rubbery and sulphury note lingers in the background. Finish Cumin, dark chocolate, and black pepper. With sufficient breathing time, a sweet aroma begins to bloom, led by vanilla notes reminiscent of bourbon cask maturation. This is when the true value of the bottle reveals itself.
