Молодой хересный Glenlivet от SV в бочковой крепости, очень сладкий и фруктовый (миндаль, груша, банан) с сильной бочкой; опытные хвалят вкус, но упрекают за навязчивую сладость, спиртовой напор и почти полное отсутствие характера винокурни.

В аромате узнаваемый молодой хересный профиль с большой долей американского дуба: сливочная сладость, миндаль (амаретто, миндальное масло), груша и банан, спелые яблоки и оттенки кожи, табака, мёда, шоколадных вишен, лёгкие травяные ноты и хлебное тесто. Вкус солоднораскрытый и убедительный — красные лесные ягоды и вишня, изюм и сливы в роме, специи (корица, гвоздика, мускат), мёд и заметный белый перец, спирт напирает сильнее, чем позволяет плотность аромата в столь юном возрасте, поэтому вода заметно улучшает баланс. Послевкусие сладкое и приторное: ваниль, банановый пудинг, грушевый сок, немного специй и сладкие апельсины, при этом короткое и быстро гаснущее.
Хвалят маслянистость, яркую фруктовость и хорошо интегрированный спирт; критикуют избыточную, почти шнапсовую сладость без воды и то, что вода не добавляет плотности или разнообразия. Опытные ревьюеры сходятся в главном упрёке — доминирует бочка, а характера самой винокурни почти нет, и разбавленный вариант 46% они считают изящнее бочковой крепости. Менее опытные оценивают образец мягче как простой, округлый повседневный хересный виски, ставя более высокие баллы (87–88). Разброс оценок (82–88) умеренный: расхождение не столько во вкусовом описании, которое согласовано, сколько в готовности прощать однобокость бочки и приторность.
One of those yellow-fruity first-fill sherry livets from SV, just cask strength. Somehow I preferred the 46%, they seemed more sophisticated. Extremely sweet and definitely too schnapps without water.
| Нос | 83 | Very peculiar, and immediately recognizable as a young SV Livet with light sherry. Sour, fermented, almond-like, pear-like. Juicy-sweet basic character with a lot of creamy and equally sweet American oak. Amarettini, Raffaelo, almond butter, pear drops, banana puree, slightly overripe apple from the windfall meadow. The alcohol stings a bit. Anyone who likes the regular ten-year-old first-fill sherry livets from the Un-chillfiltered range, but found them too soft, could be happy here. It's almost too much of a good thing for me in terms of intensity. With water you could also go to 84. |
| Вкус | 84 | Yeah, like in the nose: the alcohol has a lot of pressure, but the aroma density cannot quite keep up with the percentage at this young age. Slightly spicy and with a lot of white pepper and pear, otherwise not much can be determined at first. So better water. Now it becomes sweeter, the almonds come out better (goes in the direction of peeled almond kernels with white chocolate couverture), the whole thing becomes calmer, more sedate, creamier. Foam banana, coconut macaroon, almond biscotti, ladyfingers ... Much, much better, but I also have to say that if this stuff works like that, why not? So I would always prefer the regular forty-six percent, which I don't have to dilute in a laborious (and imprecise) self-experiment. |

Delicious malt that convinces on the palate. The rest cannot keep up. Looks rather barrel heavy in the nose.
| Нос | 84 | beautiful, dense, almost gentle sherry nose. Great fruitiness after red berries comes through, there is a honey sweetness, vanilla and light caramel. smells nice of thickened juice, subtle herbal notes and fresh bread dough. Apricots, oranges and bananas follow. |

Reminiscent of red wine, slightly sour with juicy red forest berries and cherries, raisins and plums in rum, spices of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, even the vanilla gets through very well, in the background a slightly refreshing note of mint. The alcohol is very well integrated. With water it gets a little softer, less spicy. However, I don't get a higher flavor density or variety. Tastes really good. |

This is a nice, classic sherry barrel whisky that you can drink casually - uncomplicated, round and round. Unfortunately I miss the distillery character a bit.
