В аромате преобладают солод, орех и фрукты — от апельсина, изюма и дыни до тёмных дат, инжира и спелой сливы, с оттенками карамели, ирисок, лёгкого кофе, молочного шоколада и выпечки, а также сброженного яблока, вишни и ванили; для крепости ниже 50% нос заметно покалывает и у части дегустаторов быстро угасает. Во вкусе маслянистая, мягкая, полнотелая подача с начальной сладостью (персик, цитрус, мёд), переходящей в пряную дубовость — перец, корицу, гвоздику — с ванилью, красным яблоком, вишней, марципаном и лёгкой ореховостью; спирт хорошо интегрирован. Послевкусие среднее по длине, сухое или мягко-сладкое, с мёдом, карамелью, солодом и яблочной кожурой, иногда с лёгкой горчинкой.
Опытные ревьюеры единодушны и высоки в оценках (84–86), хваля сбалансированность, маслянистость и узнаваемость, отмечая лишь склонность вкуса не удерживать уровень аромата и местами «неокруглённость». Единственная низкая нота исходит от менее авторитетного отзыва, где послевкусие испорчено избыточной серой; в остальном оценки согласованы, а вес мнений склоняется к позитивному, добротному вердикту.

A fairly fine malt with a very drinkable strength. The nose is definitely at its best, but then unfortunately fades somewhat. Flavorful, yes, but it can't maintain the good level of the nose.

A complex, inviting aroma of dark fruits such as dates, figs, and ripe plums. The fruit aroma is accompanied by spicy herbs, fine wood, a pleasant hint of caramel, and delicate milk chocolate. In the background, delicate pastry notes linger, lending the bouquet a warm depth. Oily and soft, the whisky lays full-bodied on the tongue. Sweetness dominates initially, carried by peach and a hint of fresh citrus. This is followed by floral herbal notes and mild honey, which harmonize perfectly with a light nuttiness. The alcohol is excellently integrated and does not overwhelm in any way—in fact, it pleasantly rounds out the flavor profile. The finish is medium-long, mild, and sweet. Honey and caramel, in particular, linger on the palate, providing a gentle, comforting finish. A balanced and harmonious whisky that impresses with its combination of dark fruit, spicy depth, and sweet softness. The pleasant oiliness and well-integrated alcohol make it an ideal companion. A very successful dram with recognition value.

Nase: Süß, vergorener Apfel, Kirsche, leicht säuerlich, etwas Vanille, leichte Gewürze, Malz, Eiche | Geschmack: Süß, würzige Eiche, Vanille, roter Apfel, etwas Kirsche, etwas Marzipan, Malz, etwas Apfelschale | Abgang: Mittellang; süßes Malz mit einer Apfel- Kirschschorle und Apfelschale bleiben. | Fazit: Die Nase beginnt intensiv. Süße Noten kommen zusammen mit leicht vergorenem Apfel und Kirsche. Leicht säuerliches ist er. Etwas Vanille und dezente Gewürze kommen dazu. Ordentlich Malz und Eiche sind ebenfalls da. Für unter 50% kitzelt er ganz schön in der Nase. Der Geschmack startet ebenfalls intensiv. Süße Noten kommen zusammen mit würziger Eiche. Anschließend gibt es Vanille, roten Apfel und etwas Kirsche. Etwas Marzipan und Malz kommen dann. Ein Hauch Apfelschale habe ich am Ende noch. Ein guter Whisky. In machen Momenten etwas unrund aber prinzipiell schön und intensiv. | 86 Punkte
