В аромате плотно сплетённые тропические фрукты — манго, папайя, гуава, персик, банан, ананас — поверх ванильного крема, тоффи, миндальной пасты и молочного шоколада, с куркумой, кумином, белым перцем и кориандром; несколько человек отмечают лёгкую спиртуозность и клеевую (лаковую) ноту, выдающую молодой возраст. Вкус многие описывают как настоящий фруктовый салат: маракуйя, манго, груша, дыня, ананас, подкреплённые хрусткой дубовой пряностью, ванилью и корицей; тело плотное, маслянистое. Послевкусие средней длины, где фрукты постепенно уступают перечной дубовой горчинке, сухости и кофейно-шоколадным тонам. Хвалят за насыщенную тропическую фруктовость, баланс с пряностями и питкость при хорошем соотношении цены и качества; критикуют дубовую горечь, сухость финала, ощущение незрелости и — в отдельных случаях — избыточную остроту и жар. Оценки согласованны и держатся в узком коридоре 86–90 у большинства. Опытные ревьюеры ставят в основном 87–90, но именно среди них встречаются и более сдержанные отметки (84 — за лаковую горечь дуба, 81 — «слишком жгуче и остро, аромат лучше вкуса»), тогда как остальные почти единодушно позитивны (86–90). Показательно повторяющееся у нескольких дегустаторов сравнение с ирландским односолодовым из-за фруктовости и меньшей пряности, при этом сами фрукты все признают отчётливо индийскими. Общая линия: расхождения не в характере напитка, а в терпимости к молодости и дубовой горечи.

At first I thought I was in the wrong movie, because instead of Bollywood it was more like Bord Scannán na hÉireann, meaning less Indian Single Malt, more Irish Single Pot Still. But then, but then The fruit notes were clearly of Indian origin, and there were also slightly fewer spices than in an Irish single pot still. But what a wonderful whisky, so fruity and inviting that it feels like positive energy in liquid form.

Нос	88	It greets the nose with an inviting fruity note, where the fruit notes are so densely interwoven that it's initially impossible to identify individual fruits. Before that becomes possible, a marshmallow-like note emerges, tending towards the flavor of sweetened marshmallow. The fruits turn out to be mango, dragon fruit, rambutan, mangosteen and papaya, interspersed with cumin and turmeric, white pepper, and coriander seeds.
Вкус	89	It starts with a true explosion of fruit: mango, papaya, rambutan, banana, guava, jackfruit, pineapple, accompanied by vanilla pods and milk chocolate spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. Quite full-bodied, with woody spice gradually coming to the fore, but the fruit aromas can't be pushed aside, no matter how much the wood tries to assert itself.
Финиш	88	A medium-length finish that perfectly complements the overall impression and thus rounds off its overall appearance, in which the fruits still shine, the wood aromas remain only subtle, and milk chocolate and milk coffee contribute to the success.

Нос	86	Intense, full and rich. Rather sweet. Lots of sweet cream. Vanilla pudding. Tropical fruit underneath. Bananas. Later floral notes and flowers. Citrus. A pinch of spices. A little bit of pepper. Honey.

I don’t know, man. You can tell me all you want about the rapid aging that takes place in hot climates, but I always feel like there’s a sense of age that’s missing in Indian whiskies. Still, this is by far the best I‘ve had yet.

Нос	86	The alcohol is still palpable on the nose. There is a slight glue note. How old can this be? Five years, max? Then I get papaya, guava, and fresh, ripe fig, plus the usual ex-bc aromas, like vanilla custard, crème brûlée, and almond paste. Perhaps some coconut as well. In the faint distance, there may also be a yeasty, softly lactic aspect.
Вкус	91	Passionfruit! Buckets of it! Also mango, pear, grape, and melon. A veritable fruit salad on the palate. Some nice, crisp oak to counterbalance the avalanche of fruit. The wood has a good kick to it, I‘m guessing there‘s a good portion of first-fill or even virgin oak in this. I have to say I‘m impressed.
Финиш	88	Peach and passionfruit, then straw and white pepper (oak spice), then then the fruits again, then a mellow fade-out.

nose: sweet peach, sour candies, vanilla, woody, breadcrumbs stuffy: sweet and fruity water on a basket of fruit, then the concentrated sweet fruits explode in the mouth: on peach, lychee, guava, papaya, in fact it feels like a 'fresh', 'great fresh' department, rose flowers too; glue dries a little varnish, bitter almonds at this time, the distillate must still be young in these tropics return of sweet spices, sugar, tannin, wood final: the little less, the scents are gradually lost, the almond, the vegetable velvet hides the sweetness, but very pleasant nonetheless.

A very well made Amrut with a great nose and fantasticly fruity taste. It's a tad dry in the finish and not really cheap, but I don't think I will be able to resist buying a bottle of this stuff.

Нос	90	Full tropical fruitiness, juicy with pineapple, passion fruit, canned peach, overripe cantaloupe and sweet orange (Fanta). Subtle vanilla and some mild dusty woodspice in the background with curcumin and just a hint of mint.
Вкус	89	A ripe tropical fruit galore, syrupy, juicy sweet, effervescent, pineapple, peach, mango, Haribo banana candy, vanilla, more spicy than the nose, nutmeg, cumin, slight ginger, some drying pepper notes.
Финиш	87	Medium length: still the tropical fruitiness with slight vanilla and now some added honey notes, quickly drying out on peppery wood bitters with some added curcumin.

Very good amrut simple but effective. Young but mastered. Super good value for money.

Нос	89	A very round nose focused on cereal. Barley, cornflakes, light flour, baker's yeast. Old vegetable. Breaded, pickled radish. Pot au feu. White grape, orange peel, kumquat.
Вкус	87	In the mouth it is also very round, with barley, cereal, sugar syrup. It sounds young but really well done.
Финиш	88	Long, slightly tropical finish with lemongrass, fresh mint and pepper.

Unfortunately, I did not like this Amrut whisky release. Too hot and spicy for me. The aroma is much better than the taste and the final stage. It's good that it was just a dram, I won't buy a bottle for sure.

This amrut is the first indian malt to be distilled three times. Triparva is Hindi and means 'consisting of three parts'. The color is golden brown.

Нос	88	First experience in the nose is a tad stale but certainly not intended to be negative.It is the kind of staleness as in some older medoc wines and I therefore think it will have something to do with the effect of the oak barrel. But, as said before, certainly not unpleasant. In addition to all this, there is of course sufficient fruit available outside the reasonably present vanilla such as peach, banana, citrus fruits and especially a stronger orange scent wich reminds me of the amrut naarangi.
Вкус	89	Comes in a bit creamy and peppery. Peach, vanilla custard and citrus fruits. A little earthy tones in the background with a hint of wood flavours.
Финиш	88	The medium finish is spicy and slightly sweetened.

Нос	89	Sweet, mead, milk chocolate with nut filling - so liquid: good, light caramel, fresh apricot, quince, vanilla flower, mirabelle, pomelo, mango, volatile aroma, almost imperceptible alcohol.
Вкус	87	Thick, waxy, white creamy honey, slightly spicy aftertaste but definitely a plus, white chocolate, caramel, nutmeg, some spices, birch juice, slightly sour - lemon, grated lemon peel, icing sprinkles, donut with a lawyer.
Финиш	89	Medium long, sweet-bitter-sour, quite complex, thick, vanilla, toffee, sticky, albedo, orange, nutmeg, herbal pepper, lemon, oak, honey again.

From a blind tasting Not bad, I like it and I like it. No high complexity but diverse. Nose and palate don't quite go together for me, but that makes it exciting for me here.

Нос	86	Aromas of wood, malt, slightly dark fruity, some oranges, dates, plums. With some chocolate and milk coffee in the nose. The second sniff adds peach, subtle mango and nuts. Smells interesting.
Вкус	88	Approach on the palate is spicy, slightly tingling. Lots of fruity flavors. Many exotic fruits such as peach, mango, honeydew melon come through along with oranges, tangerines. It's not quite as dark-fruity as it is on the nose. Everything looks soft and creamy. The nuts and chocolate are also back. Slight bitterness towards the end. Smells interesting, tastes even better.

I was surprised at the funky dark undertone of the nose and even more by the finish that gave a unique sensation and taste at the back of the mouth. I normally like funkyness quite a lot, but this one is, let's say, the exception. Tasted at the USQNH tasting 20241019.

Tasted together with Three Ships 12yo 46.3% and Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique Cask W121225050A 57.8% Color: amber Overall a good whisky, with a fair amount of complexity that leads it to evolve as the minutes pass. I thought it was peated, but if peat is present it must be barely noticeable

Really fruity whisky that is nicely counterbalanced by the spiciness. I didn't really appreciate the fairly bitter oak towards the finish & in the aftertaste.

Нос	87	Very fruity-woody. Ripen lychee and rambutan, sour notes of raw pear, ripen stone fruit, cocoa, vanilla, cream, dusty books, and wood chips along with the varnish on it. With water the nose became even greener, showing the jackfruit and guava.
Вкус	86	Medium bodied but also delicate. It has a spicy-sweet arrival, with lychee, dried flower and quite evident peppery spices on the palate. There was also the lovely sour tastes from orange juice. With chewing the creaminess (both regarding the taste and the lubrication in mouth) developed. Unfortunately the oak bitterness stood out at last.

Tasted blind, notes without prior knowledge: Wow, that's a strange entrance. Overwhelmed ripe fruit, already fermenting a bit. Perhaps an unorthodox barrel? Very unique. Quite a woody impact that also continues on the aftertaste. Suggests that there is quite some age on it, or indeed an exotic barrel. Or an exotic whisky? This sample makes you think! Water tempers the funny nose a bit. Taste also disappears somewhat. Fragile stuff. Reminds me of a bizarre Tullibardine 1966 from Blackadder that I once tasted. Score: 86 points for a very cool nose in particular.
