Quite a nose, rather alcoholic on the palate for 46% - port influence not overpowering - nice, because too much port isn't really my thing, quite tasty - not exactly my style.
COLOR: light amber - a rather powerful, intense single malt - Port wine / red wine notes recognizable - very spicy, not particularly well balanced, => whisky.de could have offered some better barrels can choose...(fun is of course a matter of taste) ;-) - but definitely well behind a Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, also behind the Edradour Caledonia 12 years (yes, other casks (=> Sherry and not Port) but in terms of aroma, quality, and flavor development... - unfortunately not entirely convincing for 60€, sorry whisky.de

A somewhat contrived and rather uneven port nose. Sulfur is also present. Vanilla, blueberries, blackberries, lightly fermented grape juice, sulfur (like a clogged drainpipe), brown apples, bitter orange, caramel, candied orange peel, red fruit gum, wild mushroom soup, honey, nutmeg, pickled cherries, red wine, oak spice. |

It flows into the mouth with a slight tingling sensation. There it's very nicely spicy. Raspberry soda, bitter oranges, vanilla, blackberries, caramel, grapefruit, hazelnut cream, crushed grape seeds, earthy notes, gunpowder, Swedish bitters, cherries, oak spice. |

Medium-length finish. Caramel, malt, vanilla, cherries, crushed grape seeds, hazelnuts, grapefruit, red wine, oak spice. That was a bust. Unbalanced, artificial, and sulphurous. I'm not having that bottle in my house. |
This is the 2025/26 Club bottling from whisky.de. Membership costs €60 and lasts for one year. It then ends and must be actively renewed if you wish to continue. So it's not a mysterious subscription model. For the €60, you get the current Club whisky and a 5% Club discount on purchases. This can sometimes be worthwhile – although whisky.de is often more expensive than other shops. But sometimes the Club whisky alone is enough to entice you. And this one is a 10-year-old Edradour, matured entirely in port pipes – so it says on the whisky.de website. The color isn't too dark, but has a distinct reddish hue. glen-efze.de

I find the grain note pungent and reminds me of Loch Lomond Original. The influence of the port cask is largely limited and only partially reins it in. This, in turn, is a plus, as there's no modern cask maturation, but instead, it's left natural. Unfortunately, it doesn't appeal to me in terms of taste - September 12, 2025

A pleasant surprise. The nose is fruity, sweet, and very intense. This intensity doesn't fully translate to the taste, which I actually appreciate in a port-aged wine. One of the better club bottlings.

The orange color in the glass is immediately noticeable. The port influence is also discernible on the nose and palate, but not particularly dominant. Overall, it falls short of expectations in terms of complexity.
Nose: Lots of barrel. Sour fruit, tannins, sour wine. After a while, more weight emerges in the aroma. Ripe plums, fresh grapes, forest fruit tart. A very aromatic and aromatic whisky. Incredibly volatile. Taste: Dark chocolate, pistachios, gooseberries, wild strawberries, spices, tangerines, popcorn with peanut butter. Finish: Not too long. Slightly dry, with notes of white pepper. Ripe plums, dark chocolate-covered raisins, ginger, cocoa. Decent daily dram. Rich on the nose, pleasantly fruity and well-established in the barrel, although the finish is a bit disappointing in its simplicity. A very pleasant whisky for an evening meeting or with a cigar.
Anyone who enjoys matured port and can appreciate a light sulfur note should definitely go for it. It reminds me of Talisker Port Ruighe in terms of caliber. Not bad!

Slightly sulfurous, sweet port wine notes, rotten strawberries, umami. |

In short – whisky and port – the notes from the nose are reflected in the palate. On the sweet and sour side, I think I can taste slight traces of wine here. But it goes down easily, has no burning sensation, and unfortunately, it's a bit thin. |

Rather short, now some wood comes through, quinine bitterness at the end. |

It's always interesting to read the comments here as someone who's sulfur-blind. Spicy, the port influence is noticeable, but above all, this thing is cloyingly sweet. I don't have sulfur sensitivity, but then again, there are very few whiskies that do. The sweetness tastes very artificial and is a dull sweetness that lacks any counterpoint. Almost like that from a small, white sweetener tablet. Difficult. My tip: mix in a little bit of Laphroaig 10 CS. (3 or 4 parts Edradour and one part Laphroaig 10 CS) That makes the whole thing more vibrant and much more interesting. Now I have a lovely, sweet and smoky whisky with port. That's how you can really enjoy the bottle. It would definitely get three more points. (So 86 points in total.)
