I really like the nose, a bit too sour and tart in the mouth, but in the end still drinkable and definitely shows the potential with appropriate barrel aging, in the end it may have gotten too much barrel in the short time, whether that has to do with the licked barrel?

Here the distillery shows what is possible. The very active (and obviously not completely empty beforehand, even employees of the distillery had to admit) cask manages to cover the youth to some extent with a very intense and rich aroma. Additive maturation fits. The distillate, on the other hand, also knows how to convince with its sweetness. The Lindores Abbey Guys can burn. Buy good barrels too. However, a little subtractive maturation is still missing to reduce some youthful sharpness. Let's give it a little more time. I'm looking forward to the drops after 10 or 12 years.

The nose promises more than the taste keeps.

Eye: What a dark soup. Looks like Jackie Cola. Lies very restlessly in the glass. Nose: Doesn't smell like whisky. Smells like the strongest sherry. Sweet and sour. But without sulfur, you have to give him that. Many wet barrel soups don't make it. I get rum-grape-nut chocolate. Fermented grape must. There's something stale and stale about it. Mouth: Brutally spicy on the tongue. Fresh wood. Then there is clearly alcohol, which really pushes you. Lots of barrels. Lots of wood. Very nutty. Sherry super dominant. I can't get much more out of it. I no longer have the acid coming from my nose. Now the sweetness clearly predominates. Finish: Lots of fresh wood draws the spit out of the baking. It gets really dry. Conclusion: Far too monotonous for me. Tastes too little like whisky and too much like sherry to me. He can't tolerate water. Then it becomes even more monotonous. I'm at a maximum of 80p here, and the trend is lower. For example, I even like the Edradour SV wet barrel soups, which are dark like cola better. Tip: Completely overloaded. Impossible to type a distillery. Scottish. Highland, possibly also Lowlands due to the stale note. Reminds me of Tullibardine. But what do you want to type with the barrel influence. Just over 50%. 1st-fill sherry and max. 10 years.
