В аромате преобладает сладкая ягодно-фруктовая насыщенность: малиновое и клубничное варенье, вишня, тёмный виноград, к которым добавляются мёд, пчелиный воск, ваниль, молочный шоколад и пряная дубовая нота с намёком на перец и корицу; несколько дегустаторов отмечают, что аромат поначалу сдержанный, но раскрывается после первого глотка. Вкус наполненный и кремовый, с явными винными танинами от дображивания в бочках из-под каберне-совиньона — красные и лесные ягоды, вишня, тёмный шоколад и какао, марципан, орех и мощная пряная древесина, с сухим финалом. Главная и почти единодушная претензия — короткое послевкусие, где остаются сухие красновинные ноты, дуб и горчинка бочки. Расхождения невелики: опытные дегустаторы держатся тесной группы 84–88 и оценивают виски сдержанно-положительно, отмечая корректность без выдающейся глубины, а один прямо признаёт, что сказать о нём особо нечего. Среди остальных разброс шире — от 83 (тонкий, скучный, простоватый, с неприятной нотой в финале) до 89–90 (очень фруктовый и приятный, раскрывшийся по мере опустошения бутылки). В целом оценки согласованы и сходятся около 85–86; критика касается тонковатого тела у части образцов и повторяющейся жалобы на быстро угасающее послевкусие, тогда как фруктово-винный характер признают почти все.

Dark, almost mahogany color with reddish reflections. Slightly oily structure.
Нос 86 Slightly sweet, fruity. Lots of red fruit. Red apples, cherries. But also yellow and orange fruits. Peaches. Maybe some orange. Yes, there are oranges. Then comes the apple pie sprinkled with cinnamon. Vanilla and caramel. Raspberries and strawberries. Definitely fruity aromas. Maybe some milk chocolate with cherry filling.
Вкус 85 You can smell the red, dry wine. Red fruits. Cherries, red currant. Oakwood. Burnt barrel. Dark chocolate. Minimal oiliness. Maybe a hint of peaches underneath.
Финиш 80 Dark chocolate. Oakwood. Barrel bitterness. Traces of red fruits. Not very aromatic and quite bitter, although this may be due to a slight cold. The finish is not very long.

Spicy, full and powerful despite the low alcohol level, also slightly tart with the sourness of red (dried) fruits. Possibly a companion for frosty winter evenings.
Нос 85 Relatively full-bodied nose with a sour touch and lush dried fruit. Dried figs, prunes, currant pie, raspberries, damp tobacco, dried apricots, beeswax candles, cinnamon, hints of vanilla, blackberry wine, oak.
Вкус 84 The body is creamy and full. The (low) alcohol strength is really okay here. The oak also comes across as very strong and spicy. Pickled cherries, cinnamon sticks, vanilla, red currants, crumbled vanilla pod, pomegranate, raspberry spirit, gravy with a dash of red wine, walnuts, spicy-powerful oak.
Финиш 84 Medium length finish with nice strong oak. Slightly dry towards the back. It fades away with beautiful forest fruits.

When opening the bottle for the first time, there was an unpleasant alcohol note. Now that the bottle is half empty, a dream. Berries and a sweetness to enjoy.

Нос 85 As you would expect from Aberfeldy, the nose is very reserved. But there are still clear dark grapes and a little dark chocolate in the background. Harmoniously fruity. After the first sip the nose becomes noticeably more intense.. lots of fruit and dark chocolate
Вкус 85 Wow .. I actually didn't expect this mouthfeel. Mouth filling, lots of fruit (especially dark grapes but also blackberries, raspberries and cherries) in the mouth but the chocolate is more like full milk
Финиш 83 The only downside is the unfortunately very short finish, but the taste is great.

Wow, what a nose. It is certainly intensely spicy, but sweet strawberry jam predominates. The taste is chocolate and the finish is reminiscent of a dry red wine. For 43% ABV, it has quite a kick, but I don't find that disturbing. I didn't notice any off notes at all. A lovely whisky to enjoy.
Нос 87 A very strong nose, I would almost say peppery. Lovely floral notes, plus red grapes, strawberry and raspberry jam. I also get a little acidity, as well as spicy oak.
Вкус 86 A dry but nicely fruity start. The fruits are ripe red fruits. There is also chocolate, spices and oak.
Финиш 86 The finish is nice and long, with dry red wine notes and spicy oak.

Aberfeldy 15 years, 43% alc. Original bottling (2022, batch 2922). Aging: Post-aging in Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels Nose: Creamy and with an unobtrusive sweetness. Honey, beeswax, sweet cherries and plums. Then I find preserved raspberries, fresh blackberries and a little bit of pepper, removed a hint of nutmeg and cloves, but really only very finely. Palate: Here, too, raspberries and cherries, blackberries and a bit of currant jelly. Then hints of oak, honey and cloves, sweet tobacco completes the impression. Finish: Rather short, mild, sweet and creamy. The fruit aromas become a little drier, oak and cinnamon come along. Conclusion: berries in a harmonious composition with honey and delicate wood spice - a typical daily dram. 85/100 points (2022)

Nose: Sweet, cherry, spices, oak, malt, grape skin, slightly sour ••• Taste: Sweet, spices, cherry, oak, some marzipan, malt, cocoa ••• Finish: Medium length, sweet malty notes with oak and some cherry remain ••• Conclusion: The nose initially smells of cherry jam. After a while the nose changes to mulled wine. There are also spices, oak and malt. The taste initially has sweet spicy notes followed by cherry, oak, marzipan and malt. There is also some cocoa in the background. A lovely whisky. The finish gives the whisky lovely fruity and spicy notes. The taste is intense at first and then fades away quite quickly. That is the only negative thing I could find.

Very solid red wine finish with fruity and floral notes. No off flavors or overwhelming influence of the cask.
Нос 86 Milk chocolate, honey and floral notes. Heather and fruits. Strawberry and raspberry marmelade.

Initial nose has some yeasty quality with red fruits, apples and raspberry jam. Reminds me of toast with raspberry jam. Palate is less complex, apples, berries and light spice, possibly ginger. Medium finish

Very nice and very fruity smell and tast. Red fruit, honey, nougat, melassy tast in the back of my mouth. Very pleasant. This is a keeper.
