Simply the best of all Tobermory I've ever had. No junk, but well balanced between fatty Oloroso sherry, a lot of fruit, slightly salt, full-bodied and heavy. Oily. At the same time also fine light sea flavors. The typical dirtiness is almost completely missing here. Complex and different than usual.

Nose: Fresh from the bottle he needs a lot of air first, so we wait erstmal..Mmmmh then he opens with a beautiful thick sherry nose. Lots of chocolate, dark fruits, old leather armchair, marzipan, nougat, plum jam, earthy, dirty, a bit salty. The alcohol could be a bit better involved but I forgive him. No sulfur fortunately (now sort out mercilessly). Oranges, herbs, smoked ham. Complex but the aromas can be nicely separated, a wonderful nose. Reminds me of the character a bit of Bunna 12 or Springbank 12 CS. Mouth: Slightly oily, spicy, chocolaty, sweet, tart, a nice roller coaster of flavors, wow what a bittersweet chocolate that stays there. The first overshadows everything. Back out a bit of smoked ham, you might think he had a small amount of smoke. Really good drinking strength, I would dilute that no longer, because he loses the bite. Great mouthfeel, but also makes it very tasty. Finish: The chocolate lasts forever, does not become too bitter, hardly any spice, feels really for me as if I had eaten a piece of chocolate. Since the dirty flavors no longer appear, clear Lindt 70% Horny part, he has nice depth through the age and the flavors are exactly my thing.
