A good sherry macallan, maybe the base is a little worse than 12 out of 80x, but it's much easier to find a live sample with a good level. It is a pity for the youth who gets an idea of the Macallans from modern samples. They put a 90 on a whisky that wouldn't have been given an 80 20 years ago. They just don't know what whisky and macallan in particular are. They are very sorry. Yes, you can still buy samples from 80x, 90x, but who in their right mind would pay 500-600 euros for a bottle of ordinary macallan? :-) "Plastic world" won, unfortunately. This era will go with us, and they will drink vodka with redbull and terrible whisky with cola, not suspecting what it should be. Rest in peace, good old Macallan :-)
