If you could choose a what three words tag for this it would be wet/underwhelming/whatever. Buy a couple of bottles of mineral water instead.

The mouthfeel is a little thin, almost watery - the taste is more bubblegum with a little spice, but a little insipid overall. |

Aroma Bourbon as it should be, sweetish, corn, initially a little alcohol, caramel throughout, spicy taste Spicy, sweetish, orange, has both pepper but is also very gentle, slightly bitter, sweetish spiciness throughout finish Medium length, spicy, sweetish
COLOUR: light amber - a very intense strong American whiskey - but he didn't really convince me - has a rather uneven taste, spiciness dominates clearly - well behind the Double Barrel and well behind Woodford reserve - too expensive for 70€, definitely have more aroma and sweetness expected
...a powerful, but somewhat unbalanced fellow... I would have guessed a rye whiskey in terms of taste. [Color]: Amber;

Glue, alcohol, nothing more. One of the worst bourbons I've ever tasted.

S 6 I haven’t drank enough bourbon to judge professionally but this is pleasant with no off-notes. It somehow reminds me of Woodford Reserve, so perhaps it's relatively overpriced. [78-82] I'll gladly welcome another dram. N 25 A lot of corn sweetness. Fragrant spices from rye. Vanilla fudge. Pecan pie. Roast corn. A hint of orange peel. P 25 Smooth, sweet, and aromatic. A bit more punchy on the palate. I’m enjoying the honey, and corn alongside that fragrant rye spices. Vanilla is at its heart. The wood gradually shows more of itself. Slightly dry on the edges. F 24 Short-mid finish. A touch of oak bitterness at the back. Toasted oak and freshly baked loaf. A touch of black pepper too.
This is a very drinkable daily dram.

sweet (honey, cotton candy) cinnamon At the moment I don't have the typical bourbon scent in my nose at all! Grain field in summer, meadow with dry hay bales now vanilla follows, and then comes the bourbon nose - but very restrained |

An unusual soapy touch that makes it different from other bourbons. The nose is okay, a bit weak on the palate, too short a finish.

Caramel, wood, toffee, cherry jam, tart apples, butterscotch, nuts, spices, ground sugar. A nice, easy drinking bourbon with enough going on to keep it interesting. This could have been so much more at a higher strength.

Heaven's Door Tennessee Straight Bourbon, 42%. Dark golden orange. Aroma is orange zest with some banoffee, spirit and marker pen, moving to highlighter pen and green apple sourz, gluey, definite glue and resin, a touch of lime cleaning liquid. Then back to the start, orange zest and banoffee ... and then round through the above notes mentioned, landing back on the highlighter pen. It’s a cyclical aroma, round it goes. Quite a bit going on. Not refined but it’s punchy, entertaining. Taste is spiky for the low abv. Sharp, steely and pointed at the front of the palate. Not much of the rounded caramel flavours bourbon often comes with, but they are there to an extent. The spirit and spicy oak mingle for a short while, then the spirit takes over and the linger is mostly ethanol. It’s a spicy bourbon with a kick of spirit, not one of those relaxing wingback chair dessert bourbons. It kicks a bit. There’s no mistaking the fact that this is an alcoholic beverage. I quite enjoy the spice and the soft orange-like note. There are certainly things I like, but it’s a (slightly) below average whisky for my purposes and preferences, so it wouldn't be on my shopping list even if it were priced more competitively. 3.325/80
Tasted over a period of a good 6 weeks - consistently a bitter disappointment. Average straight bourbon, but completely overpriced. The best thing is the design of the bottle. When uncorking the cork lid came off immediately (cheap glued, had to open the bottle with a corkscrew - quite a shock for the price!
It's been a while since I had a bourbon in the glass. This (rumored, but you can also taste it) 8-year-old whiskey is dangerously tasty and mild, yet very fragrant and, in comparison with the underage new bottlings from Scotland, a bright spot. Has something. Details on occasion.

You can find a basic George Dickel for half the price and it is basically the same thing, even higher proof! This is an okay expression, if you have tried Dickel and like it, this will suit you just fine. I like it, but I rather spend my money on a George Dickel! Less fancy packaging but the same taste!
Caramel, vanilla, toasted butter cookies, wood, a lot of spices, some delicate citrus in the background, good balance between sweet and dry (spicy sharpness), quite long finish.
