Unexpectedly tasty whisky. Subtle turbine flares, in addition the sweet and caramel-like profile of Glen Moray. Not even watery, full-bodied taste. Excellent alternative for people who do not like peat too heavy, but want something different and do not want to lose too much. Nice to have tasted.

- a single malt to drink when you're up smoke stands - for a Speyside whisky, here is a significantly stronger one cold smoke present - the smoke somewhat deceives about youth and presumably the barrels that have already been used several times - because otherwise unfortunately not much or other aroma available is, unfortunately, very one-sided - not expensive, but not really good either - drinkable but does not have to be mandatory
No off-flavors, but no draft either! young, simple, inexpensive!

The whisky is actually quite good, easy to drink, and I was particularly impressed with the flavor. If you're looking for a simple smoky whisky, Glen Moray Peated is a good choice! 20 21 19 20

Conclusion: a simple, slightly prickly, banal, young whisky without specifying age. Smoke does not hide sharpness very well. The content of phenols, on sensations, is clearly less than that of the whisky producers from the island of Islay. This makes this sample not bright enough, diluted, but memorable, with a twist. Faceless it just can not be called!
Smells really good, can also drink well. Unfortunately only a little bit of resonance and a little less complex than hoped. But for someone who wants to get close to smoke, this is recommended.

Smells good! Beautiful medium smokiness, citrus fruits, maybe some wood and flower meadow. Very beautiful. |

A very light Wiskey that is missing body and complexity, but the pepper surprises somehow. The nose is ok.

Soft nose with some smoke aroma’s and a very faintly syrupy nose, elements of toffee and caramel. |

Very light, almost water-like entry with hints of salt and turf. After a few sips it all changes, tinges of mint and a strong peppery feeling. |

The finish is super short. This is a whisky with a light peatness and some barley elements. The watery entry comes back in the aftertaste together with some rubbery pinches. The empty mouth feels dry and still a bit peppery. |

Very simple smoker from Speyside. Better to invest a few euros more and get the Ardmore Legacy.

Glen Moray Elgin Classic Peated is on the one hand a light and unassuming whisky and on the other, crisp, defined and perfect for an early autumn evening. It’s worth mentioning the price point – which at around £25 represents seriously good value for money. You might even see this in your local supermarket discounted down to around £20. Whilst there’s nothing radical about this dram, at that price point it’s a steal. https://www.thedramble.com/tastings/glen-moray/glen-moray-elgin-classic-peated/

Light fruits, almond pulp and a tone of peat with a spicy finish. It does hide the young spirit quite well. However it just beats the cheap blends narrowly and comes across, to me, as quite uninteresting.

The aroma of apples, lemon, creosote, peat, shoe polish, varnish. Taste: citrus, ink, shoe polish, spices, vanilla. The aftertaste is peat, completely against the background of railway sleepers. As a result, we have a young sharp whisky with a peat profile, which still needs to be able to feel. Like other NAS, Glen Moray is a sharp whisky that attracts more with its price.
The only drinkable one from the Elgin Classic series.
This was really rough freshly cracked but with Oxygen and time this became drinkable at least. The Malt is clearly very young and the peat is probably supposed to mask some of the rougher Edges.
RU: доступный торфяной виски, но простой и резковатый. EN: affordable peated whisky, but simple and a bit rough.
Aroma: Fresh, marine, smoked herring, oranges, sand cake, white pepper, apple pie Palate: Vanilla, baked apple, honey, toffee, white chocolate, spicy, smoked plum, oak Slightly peaty in taste (less than in smell)
Solid, straight peated highlander. Can't compete with most Islay drams because of a lack of complexity. But this is not a big problem.

A very easy to drink entry level peat smoke malt whisky. Straightforward and affordable with around 20€ a bottle.
