Ol' Blue Eyes Francis Albert Sinatra, born on December 12, 1915, became world famous as Frank Sinatra, aka Ol' Blue Eyes. In the 1940s he discovered Jack Daniel's and once said: 'It's been the oil to my engine ever since'. The fact that he was friends with Angelo Lucchesi, JD's first sales representative, undoubtedly helped. Sinatra died at the age of 82 on May 14, 1998 and was buried with some of his favorite things, including a bottle of Jack Daniel's. It would not be until 2012 that Jack Daniel's would release a tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes in the form of the Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select, a liter bottle at 90 Proof. The bottle is still produced today. Surprising nose of cherries, raspberries, blueberries and pomegranate, sprinkled with honey and Graeffe sugar. Add some leather and white chocolate. Very nice. Nicely oily and immediately nice and sweet without becoming sticky or syrupy. Cherries, candied oranges, walnuts and rye bread… This is delicious! The finish is relatively long, slightly drying on orange peels and ginger with a hint of oak on the deathbed. Gently spiced. “Ladies and Gentleman, this is Jack Daniel's and it's the nectar of the gods,” Sinatra once said on stage in Las Vegas. I certainly wouldn't go that far, but this one is very tasty. In 2015, an even more exclusive bottle was launched in honor of Sinatra's 100th anniversary: Sinatra Century. This was composed of 100 barrels, bottled at 100 Proof and is still difficult to find (and very expensive) today. Thanks to Jack's Safe from Roermond (NL) for the sample.

Tasted in October 2014. The story is by the way, that Frank Sinatra is buried with a bottle Whiskey. Jack Daniels, of course.

Surprisingly good, but not quite my taste

230€ not worth 1/5 og that. best JD i tasted but disepointed off what you get on the price. now my bottel is emty note:longer it sits more Jack flaver comming tru, not in a good way! enjoy my apinnion

Jackie is very tasty and can't deny his origins, but I prefer to buy a couple of single barrels for the money.

Nose : sticky, slightly woody. spicy Taste : Spicy with a light caramel sweetness Finish : Long and spicy

Pleasant Bourbon - but not worth the price in my opinion.

Nothing thats my opinion bitter sweet ! 2 dementional shaise ( s**t ) for 130 eu any basick malt for 30$ will thrash it

One of my absolute favorites. I mean, it's a charcoal filtered bourbon, so of course you get what you expect, but extremely intense and beautiful, truly the nectar of the gods!
