Элегантный, мягкий выдержанный Гленфиддих: яблоко-груша, ваниль, херес, сухофрукты, ореховый дуб. Опытные ставят высоко, почти единодушная претензия — заниженные 40%, из-за которых тело водянистое.

В аромате узнаваемый фирменный профиль винокурни — яблоко, груша, цветы, свежий солодовый хлеб, к которым добавляются ваниль, мёд, корица, кокос и ананас, тёмный дуб, шоколад и хересные сухофрукты (инжир, чернослив, слива). Вкус насыщенный и пряный (гвоздика, корица, перец), с тёмными фруктами и хересной сладостью, гармоничным балансом сладкого и горького, но многие отмечают, что тело слишком тонкое, а сладость быстро высыхает, оставляя суховато-ореховое дубовое послевкусие. Послевкусие обычно долгое, тёплое, с дубом, орехами и травами, хотя мощности в конце не хватает. Опытные ревьюеры оценивают напиток стабильно высоко (в основном 87–93) и ценят его как достойный образец очень старого солодового виски, близкий к винтажным розливам, тогда как остальные разбросаны шире (75–93): часть восхищается сложностью и элегантностью, часть резко критикует за завышенную цену и разбавленность до минимальной крепости. Сквозная и почти всеобщая претензия обеих групп — розлив на 40%: практически все сходятся, что при 46% виски заслужил бы на несколько баллов больше. Согласованность в целом хорошая: расхождения касаются не профиля, а соотношения цены и качества и того, оправдывает ли возраст стоимость по сравнению с 18-летним.

I think this whisky sometimes gets overlooked because its from the mass produced brand of Glenfiddich. I like it, easy drinking, tasty an a hint of spice with a good balance.

This is a grand whisky and, in my humble opinion, comes very close to the Vintage 1973. My only complaint, as it were, is that it would do better at higher strength. Originally for sale for around 150 EUR, but today, you may add at least 100 EUR to that. Not cheap, but then this sumptuous whisky is three decades old.

A very nice whisky, which at 46% would have got at least 2 points more, that's a pity. One immediately recognizes with the nut and everything the Fiddich, that is always nice with such old things.

S 6 On the nose, this is very well-aged, complex, rich, and expressive. The promising nose however does not extrapolate into the palate. The palate feels oddly overoaked and does not leave enough room for the distillate itself. Is it the ABV? Or is it the storage and bottle ageing? Guess I’ll never know. 86-90 - A to-share bottle
Нос 92 The top layer contains dark oak, burnt vanilla pods, chocolate malt, and vintage soy sauce (老抽). A whiff of spent matches. Then in the middle, the fresh orchard fruits rose alongside the warm peppery spices. Yellow pears, oranges, even bananas. Black tea. Toffee. Finally at the base, here’s where the dark fruits rest, figs, plums, and prunes, indicating Sherry cask maturation.
Вкус 85 Viscous and spicy. Autumn leaves. Tobacco leaves. More dark fruits and soy sauce echoing the nose. Cloves, cinnamon, and crushed peppercorn are more pronounced on the palate. The flavours however dried out fairly quickly, especially the sweetness. At first, it’s like drinking a vintage dry Sherry, but soon the remaining sweetness evaporates and ends with a sourish drying nutty oaky profile which is slightly disappointing.
Финиш 84 Medium, rather thin finish. A touch of fresh red fruits and drying wine oak aroma lingering.

A long time ago the first encounter with something really old. This was for someones birthday. Really good at the time, but I wonder how it would score nowadays
Нос 87 Great mild and sweet nose. Lots of lovely aroma's.
Вкус 84 Rich taste with lots of delicate stuff happening. Too bad this was not bottled at 46% or higher.

what a shame to dilute a basically good whisky with such a proud age to the minimum. Then you can find yourself great when you drink something so expensive because it is perhaps the only whisky that works for hipsters. Old, expensive and goes down like oil - no, rather water. If you have tried to have a say, if instead of 500 it would cost 100 euros or less, I could put one on the shelf for the guests. So the taste is badly clouded by the underground price performance ratio. Nice, medium-length, uncomplicated finish.

Old-style chic glenfiddich. I would like more abv., But anyway it's delicious. A little dusty, a little perfumery, not at all like the modern style. 22-23-23-22

A real great whisky. Very complex, seductive nose. He also convinces on the palate, even if he runs out of power at the end. More percentages would have been helpful here. But definitely a very pleasant experience.

Вкус 90 Sweet at the beginning with plums and cinnamon. The vanilla is back. At the second sip then much spicier, bitter, woody. The alcohol is very well integrated and slightly peppery.
Финиш 88 Very long finish with clear oak note and nuts. Moderate bitterness. However, he lacks some bite.

Woody and floral in the nose. Sweet honey, sherry and fine oak notes on the palate. Long, pleasantly sweet aftertaste. Really nice whisky and the price is okay.

I tried a sample bottle at an event. It has a floral and fruity scent, which is quite nice and extremely smooth, but unfortunately it's too expensive.

Some years ago, this was my very first 30 year old whisky and made me to digg deeper in single malts. Kind of a convincing pioneer. This whisky is very elegant, extremely well composed with just the right amount of sherry, dried fruits, enough sweetness, smooth oak and mild spices. Maybe a tad too thin on 40%. Haven`t tried yet the new version at 43%.

This is the kind of dram that talks you into thinking that older is better. I'm not sure its significantly more enjoyable than the 18 though. Certainly if money was no object then I would buy this, but the 18 is better £ for £.

Even after 30 years of ripening, there is an unmistakable Glenfiddich on the nose: apple, pears, flowers, fresh malty bread. After a longer smell, the whisky becomes sweeter, more vanilla and subtle, more exotic notes of coconut and pineapple flow from the glass. Unfortunately, you can already guess that the whisky will lack volume. The slightly watered-down character is confirmed in the mouth. In spite of everything, you can tell the age of the oak, the aromas are very harmonious, sweet and bitter notes are balanced. Bitter orange, beeswax, honey, alpine herbs, apple biscuits. The finish is cozy and warm, oak stays long. Conclusion: great old Glenfiddich, which unfortunately lacks a few percent of an absolute grenade. Nice experience and further proof that Glenfiddich is able to produce excellent whiskys beyond the standards. 87 points

Massive and intense with deep warmth and sweetness.
Нос 89 Lots of oak, chocolate and sweet malt.
Вкус 90 Rich and deep with warming oak. Complex spices and a little fresh sourness.
Финиш 88 Long lasting warmth spreads from mouth to stomach.

This is one of my favourite and it is a shame the bottles are this small ;) The Glenfiddich 30 year has a very mild, almost sweet nose, when you wals it around your mouth it has a full body with a sweet, fruity taste. The aftertaste is long and rich.
