http://www.weinkenner.de/2014/vier-1996er-malts-von-glendronach-im-direkten-vergleich-31860/ Color: light gold Nose: Very fruity and unusual compared to its younger predecessors. Lime and some lemon juice, vanilla, toffee and apple flavors. Here, too, a flat-flowery gum note with fresh lemon balm extract. Taste: Maritime, floral note with lemon, salt, honey and vanilla. In addition to light herbal aromas, but this time are not harsh - all in all, a rather thin mouthfeel! Finish: Long - maritime and good! No wood, but otherwise less or soft - apart from maritime vanilla flavors. Towards the end, a very small amount of wood is added. Note: Similar to a few "lighter" bourbon cask bottlings from Port Ellen! 88 points (nose: 87 / taste: 89 / finish: 88)
