Campbeltown Loch.
Very drinkable and nice

The key data sounds very promising: A blend from 1994 Springbank 2015 Springbank and 1992 Glen Scotia, Bottled in 2025. And it seems to me that the ratio of both distilling styles is balanced; at least I couldn't detect that it clearly leaned in either direction on the nose or palate. You have to be able to handle its pronounced peppery note on the palate and the accompanying robustness. Add to that the distinctly bitter and dry impression – since I currently have a Springbank 10 open (25/32 - 25.02.25), I just briefly tasted both side by side: Yes, the standard 10 is significantly more balanced; it even seems more composed and – since it's not rough – amusingly older.

Floral, fruity, slightly woody, and mineral – that's the initial impression. In more detail: pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon zest dominate the fruitiness, fresh cut flowers gradually take center stage, and now vanilla, toffee, and honey also emerge. The initially noticeable mineral note recedes into the background, but doesn't stay there forever; it returns and, in turn, displaces the vanilla and the caramel that had meanwhile appeared. |

It really comes across with a generous dose of pepper. Not so much on the tongue, but more on the palate. It starts off tart and very dry, with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, gooseberry, and green, not-quite-ripe grapes. There's a slightly musty impression, dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, and cold espresso. The high pepper content somewhat masks the minerality. Gradually, caramel, fudge, and toffee emerge. |

Interesting blend from Campbeltown. Tried it in different glasses, including Blender's Glass. But a bit unbalanced, imho. The aroma is creamy smoke, slightly mineral, buttery, ripe fruit, citrus, fresh sea breeze. 21.5 The taste is spicy-sweet, lemon zest with ripe fruit, spicy oak, noticeably salty. 21.5 The aftertaste is medium, smoky-mineral, tart with bitterness. 21.5 Balance 21.5

From memory. Prematurely Glen Scotia-heavy.
Quite good. Unruly and raw with interesting facets. Not necessarily better than the cheaper Campbeltown Loch, but also somewhat different. I admit, though, that I'm happier with a regular Springbank 10.
A great blend, that really gets things moving! Campbeltown in simple perfection.

Well, it's supposed to contain a 10-year-old Springbank and a 1992 Scotia. Okay. What was the Scotia aged in? A steel barrel? Nice nose, but no depth whatsoever! It's not bad, you could drink it once in a while as a daily drink, but for me it's incredibly boring.

Lemon, cream, cloves, hints of a lovely summer dessert, refreshing. Unfortunately, this remains the best part. |

It has vapor, which I would have estimated to be 3-4% higher, meaning the alcohol is moderately integrated. Even after 3-4 cl, it's citrusy, grapefruit, slightly bitter, and somehow a bit thin. I can't detect any smoke at all; it's not perceptible to me. |

One would think that 3-4 cl at 50.7% ABV should provide a stable finish. Unfortunately not. Subtly citrusy. |

It's... fine? It's a nice whisky, but nothing special. Just good and easy to drink. Worth the price... just barely.
Robust yet easy-drinking with earthy and fruity notes and a pleasant mouthfeel, a successful blend at an acceptable price - 07.11.2025

Cheese, malty, mango, papaya, vanilla, honey. No harsh youthfulness. Lovely tropical fruit character. Worth buying a bottle.
A good all-day dram that's perfectly acceptable for the price. Not too complex, but very drinkable. Pleasantly sweet, vanilla-like, and balanced with fruity notes. Slightly waxy and musty.

Attractive bottle/label design, but unfortunately the recent Campbeltown Loch is just better and cheaper. This one seems to lean quite heavily on Glen Scotia. So not worth the price in my eyes but if there'd be multiple batches with variation maybe in the future. Islay Conn. is solid but superfluous, Highland Conn. the best imho and I am def. not an Ardnamurchan fanboy. ????

Quite informative on the nose, with malt, citrus, almonds, and a hint of salted butter. The palate is fairly consistent and oily, with the spices emerging. The finish is slightly spicy. Not a complex whisky, but definitely well-made.

Maritime, anise and some lemon lime zest, fishermen’s friend, fairly approachable but a tad uneventful. Apparently has some 1994 Springbank in the mix…

Here it becomes a bit smokier. The alcohol is peppery. Peaches and yellow fruits that are no longer very ripe. Creamy with a hint of vanilla and hay The pepper flavor is present throughout, and at the end there's a hint of citrus/ginger. |

As I poured it, I thought I detected a hint of smoke. I didn't find it in the glass, though. Instead, there was a lovely, spicy note, quite settled. With time, fruit emerged – not bright or fresh, but rather juicy, sweet, and ripe. Think vineyard peach, apricot compote with vanilla. The spicy note receded into the background. There was a touch of dusty paper. The alcohol remained very subtle throughout. |

Very spicy, with a dry, bitter note, ripe yellow fruit, but fresher than in the aroma; the alcohol is now more pronounced. This bitter note is almost reminiscent of charred wood. |

Very maritime, sweet, with notes of grain, malt, honey, and citrus. Paired with a wonderful smoky note. I find the whisky very tasty; despite the high alcohol content, it's incredibly easy to drink.

Spicy, viscous, funk, balanced, mineral, nice, smashable, muted citrus fruits, lemons and peels.
Nice and characterful blended Campbeltown malt. Unsure how much 30 year old Springbank is in here but the brine notes and salted buttered popcorn is at the fore with a tropical fruitiness of mangoes and pineapple for sure. The savouriness is there too, which gives it a little tobacco edge. The age is rather indeterminate on the palate, a drinker in any case. It's a lively, fresh and Campbeltown-driven whisky.
A splash of water really opens up this whisky!pleasantly surprised by this blended whisky.
