With water it smells even sweeter but the palate falls apart. I found this very simple, no complexity and rather boring, it tastes like a cheap blend to me and I have tried a few of them recently. A let down to be honest.

Very intense and warming whisky, but very fresh and friendly as well. Nicely balanced, I really like this one a lot.

Beautifully composed, beautifully intense, a very good ex-bourbon whisky

I do not know if this is any traditional Glenmo, but I do know that it is a beauty.
Soft, sweet, vanilla, coconut ... delicious. But not so mild, there is also a little peat smoke in the finish.
Glenmorangie ‘Traditional’ (57.2%, OB, circa 2004) Colour: pale straw. Nose: much more subdued than its older brother at fist nosing, jumping then almost directly to the grassy and farmy notes. Again, some whiffs of peat and rubber, and then some very flowery notes, like lilac and buttercup. It gets somewhat cleaner than the ‘100 proof’. Some vanilla fudge and butter caramel do emerge after a while, though… In a whole, it’s a little more restrained, a little less farmy, and also a little fresher, but it’s still rather similar. Again, nice! Mouth: again, a strong and punchy attack, and again a somewhat ‘simpler’ feeling, with more caramel, cold tea, malt – and more fruits too. Cooked apple, caramelised pear, cassata. A very nice retro-olfaction on fresh fruits and violet sweets. Again, perhaps it’s somewhat fresher than the ‘old’ one, but also a little less complex and a little more ‘smack in your face’. Okay, I’ll go for one point less, but I wouldn’t say it’s ‘less good’, just a little livelier, but also simpler. 84 points
Excellent whisky, the palette of derivatives is not too wide, but this is compensated by the elaboration of shades and halftones, good depth and compositional complexity, despite the obvious youth of the release, a classic Highland bourbon profile with a rich and juicy woody dominant, very drinkable and addictive.

Odor : Typical bourbon: vanilla, citrus, some apples and pears. Compared to the C13, it is more voluminous and yet the alcohol is wonderfully integrated. Sea air and quite tropical / southern (fruits mango, apricot and peach). The taste: Great start: citrus and vanilla, sweetness (honey), Christmas cookies (vanilla crescents, cinnamon stars). Fills the mouth and tolerates a few drops of water. Then the tropical/southern fruits come out more clearly. Slight peppery spiciness (maybe the alcohol too) and a light touch of tannins. Sweetness, sourness (citrus) and light saltiness in the interplay. finish : Long: Slightly spicy, on vanilla, cinnamon with a hint of chili heat (determined by the alcohol), the fruitiness is clearly present. good old stuff :-)
Alcohol is well integrated in all segments, drop of water helps to make it more interesting

Fruity sweetness in the nose suggests, strong and clear. Orange and peach with a lot of vanilla delight on the palate. Pour a few drops of water in, is then much more enjoyable.
Price evaluation: Starting from an initial price of about 60 euros.

Personally I think people underestimate this one. It is subtle and retains youthful notes, but it is a great drinker.
Color - deep gold; Nose - spicy-sparkling, straw, floral, a hint of smoke, wet wood, very strong-alcoholic, apple, grapes, hazelnut chocolate and caramel, malty and dry at the same time; Taste - very fruity (apple, peach), peppery, charcoal, traces of vanilla and caramel; Finish - long and spicy-fruity, at the same time relatively bitter

You can immediately feel that the bottle was bottled a long time ago, the whisky is somehow squeezed and slightly musty. A few minutes later, vanilla pastries, wet wood, malt, bitterness like pills, dried apricot, white raisins, yellow tropical fruits very calmly enter the arena. The taste, of course, feels all the strength and power, echoes the aroma, but there is no sweetness, the whisky is quite dry and austere. The finish is medium long, also dry with a slight tingle like a little red pepper.

Great whisky, but the price is unnecessarily high for my taste. But it is probably the best Scotch without the smoke I had the chance to taste.
I didn't get any off notes, but a typical bourbon cask profile. Nice. Notes based on a sample.

sample. actually quite good if it wasn't for the very disgusting vomit note. besides, what on earth are mountain oak casks?
NOSE Complex dried orchard fruit, honey, toffee, cocoa, toasted bread, citrus peels, waxy vanilla fondant and lighter notes of coconut, nuts and baking spice. I could sniff this all night, the complex fruit brings out waves of apricots, apples, pears and more. It love it. PALATE Complex dried orchard fruit, honey, sultanas, coconut, vanilla cupcakes, oak, toffee and bit fo banana chips and baking spice with a slight earthiness. This has a heaviness to it that rolls through with a noticeable oak profile. FINISH Med-Long -> Fruit and malty graham takes its time fading out to a honied fruit note.
Michael Jackson Colour: Primrose, slightly oil. Nose: Very aromatic and spicy. Body: Smooth, firm, slightly gritty. Palate: Richer, more substantial. Fuller flavours. Sandy-salty notes. Finish: Robust. Intensely salty. Very long. Soothing. Comment: In the same style of the two above (GM Cellar 13YO 43% & GM Millennium Malt 12 40%), but without chill-filtering and at cask strength. Score: 83 Serge Valentin Glenmorangie ‘Traditional’ (57.2%, OB, circa 2004) Colour: pale straw.
