В аромате доминируют дым и торф с йодистыми, морскими и солёными нотами: копчёное сало и бекон, костёр, кожа, цитрусовая цедра, зелёные яблоки, а также травянисто-пепельные и земляные оттенки; ясно чувствуется молодость спирта. Вкус более мягкий, местами почти водянистый, маслянистый, со сладковатой ванилью, дымом, солью и цитрусом; отмечают горьковатую, травяную подложку и заметную юность. Послевкусие средней длины — дым костра, пепел, соль, перец и пряности, у части авторов коротковатое и с горчинкой. Хвалят прежде всего соотношение цены и качества: недорогой, простой, сбалансированный повседневный виски, лёгкий и приятный в питье, с выразительным морским дымом — хороший выбор, когда хочется умеренной торфяности без перегруза. Критикуют нехватку сложности, крепости и тела, водянистость и агрессивную молодость (оценивают примерно в 5 лет), а также горьковатый тон; некоторые прямо ставят его ниже Laphroaig 10, Ardbeg 10 или Big Peat. Оценки согласованы и тесно сгруппированы около 80–84; мнение опытных ревьюеров (в среднем ~83) практически совпадает с остальными, расхождения минимальны и сводятся к единичным крайним оценкам.

Interesting, maritime-smoky malt that is easy and pleasant to drink away - very tasty. In the end, however, it lacks a bit of complexity and strength for a higher rating.

Pretty nice overall, but there is a bitter undertone to the palate and finish. Nose is the best part, as I love that farmy profile.

Нос 84 Powerful nose, well peaty and iodized. looks quite young, but we can't be against that.
Вкус 83 Easy palate, quite oily, on iodine and peat. Very simple but the youth is felt too much with a lot of bitter plants.
Финиш 81 Finish a little below, quite short, on gentian, earth, and iodine.

Standard Islay whiskey in drinking strength, which can be bought for 25 to 30 euros. Not particularly complex. Would estimate it to be a maximum of 5 years.
Нос 82 Smoked pork belly, salty and sweet, with a citrus fruit behind it. A little grassy. I can't find more.
Вкус 83 Alcohol well integrated. Smoke and smoked ham. Citrus and floral notes, slightly sweet. Overall well balanced.
Финиш 83 Medium length, ash remains at the end.

This is fine. It’s a peated whisky when you’re looking for one. I don’t like it as much as Big Peat for a whisky that delivers when you just want some peat that isn’t necessarily overbearing. It’s a bit light, but that’s not a knock against it. And it is a touch thin, but again this is situationally desirable. When you want a lighter whisky with some peat, it can be a good choice. When you want Islay go somewhere else.
Нос 84 Smoke. Some fruit (think apples and more in the green/yellow family, not quite red) that then fights to come out over ash and seaweed. Light and vegetal tone overall.
Вкус 80 Earthy and herbal. Slightly sweet in the vanilla/fruit area. Not terribly smoky in the mouth. Or rather, the peat doesn’t present as smoke here.
Финиш 80 Until now. There’s a rush back in of the smoke that was in the nose, and some pepper. It lingers as largely just a warm feeling with salinity creeping in over the course. Medium.

Peaty, smoky with notes of gum, ash, zesty citrics, needless and vanilla. Has elements of gentle and deep barley malt and green fruits and taste and finish. IMHO full proof one tastes stronger.

Нос 83 Young, feisty, peaty whiskey. Iodine smoke, bonfire. Fruity - apples, citrus. Sweet -vanilla.
Вкус 85 Peat - also iodine, focal. Reminds me of burnt toast. Smoked sausage. Fruit - mainly citrus. An apple roasted over a fire. A little clove, cinnamon. Salt.
Финиш 85 The smoke of the campfire, barbecue. Burnt toast. Smoked bacon. Salt. Pepper, cinnamon. Carnation. citrus. Baked apple. Vanilla.

Good Peaty whisky, but by no means better that the Laphoaig ten or the Ardbeg ten or Wee Beastie. I like it and will gladly pour a dram, but there is considerbly better Islay whisky out there, even in the same price range. Especially when considering this is just a 50CL bottle.

Surprised! Very pleasant, lightly smoky whiskey. It is very easy to drink, despite the slightly higher strength and young (obviously at this price) alcohols. It breathes a little and starts to smell like vanilla and fruit. Simple, but at the same time nice! At this price I’m ready to drink for any feast

Нос 86 Strong. Smokey. Chemical. Cinnamon. Bit of pine. Hint of citrus.
Вкус 84 Sweet at first, fruity almost. Bitter and salty then. Complex. Soft and gentle with a bit of spice compared to the nose and the finish.
Финиш 87 Strong finish, lingers more than I had expected. Stronger aftertaste than the taste itself. Smokey. Salty. Zesty. Hint of orange.

Aroma: fresh, a lot of peat smoke, beach and sea breeze, smoked bacon, lemon peel, vanilla. Taste: smoky and malt, vanilla, salty caramels (!), Citrus peels, white pepper. Finish: medium long, smoky and salty (!), With notes of vanilla, pepper, lemons and apples. Very similar to "Elements of Islay Peat & Sherry - Germany Exclusive 58.2%" but there is no sherry like in GER edition.
