Airfix glue, here I come! Back in the mists of time, the classic Old No. 7 was my first review. Does double filtration through charcoal make this Tennessee whiskey any better? Well, the nose is less rough and almost pleasant with notes of caramelized popcorn, syrup and nail polish. Is 'diabetic' a valid descriptor? Sugary, oily and slightly minty, the taste is rather one-dimensional with fresh oak spices, the expected spiritiness and a quickly fading finish. Granted, Gentleman Jack is a step up from the basic, mass-produced Jack Daniel's - but it's a small one. RATING: 2.5/5.0 stars ≙ 74 pts → SUBPAR

COLOR: light amber - the term “gentleman” is program, very soft, gentle, sweet, restrained bourbon - significantly better and softer than the standard - very drinkable, too good to mix with cola - some see an unpleasant "sticky note" here, which I but cannot confirm - at 23€ quite expensive but also better than the standard, therefore still OK, definitely worth the extra cost to No.7
Double filtered - and a significant increase over No 7 .... [Color gold;

Well worth the extra, Gentleman Jack is charcoal-mellowed twice, before and after the ageing process, resulting in a cleaner, more refined end product. Packaged in a smart Monogram-esque bottle.
better than the old No.7 imho but not that special.

S 7 Limited character but much better if drink neat than the normal No.7 as it's smoother and with more balanced spice. This one is double mellowed - filtered through charcoal twice - before casked & before bottled. N 25 - Vanilla - Running maple syrup - Smooth charcoal P 22 - Mellow vanillic sweetness - Spiced wood beneath F 22 - Mid finish - Charred wood spice lingering - Some red apple - Corn aroma arising if you take a big sip

Much softer and rounder than the Old No. 7 - but also a whole corner more expensive. For me, the price - performance ratio is not right, because you can enjoy this whiskey barely pure.
No bite, no special, interesting aspects. Difficult to write anything; too much filtration is too much of a good thing. Even the Winter Jack tastes better. Yes, just laugh ...
Very pleasant, but there's something about the oiliness of it that doesn't quite hang together with the citrus.
09/05/2025 - 50 ml Unusually offered in a wine cellar lost in the backlands of Minas Gerais, I took the opportunity to try it. It is a mild version of the classic No. 7, a little inferior to Jim Beam White, but costing twice as much.

Color - caramel to light copper; Nose - Vanilla and a bit of oak, smells cleaner than the standard No.7, some leather or tobacco; Taste - vanilla and wood, a little creamier and oilier and at the same time rougher than the No.7, corn sweetness; Finish - flat and medium warm, medium long
Pretty great! Big jump from the normal Jack!

briefly with a mini-hint of spiciness and then the alcohol remains in addition to the sweetness. Extremely soft and at the end again a glue note. |
Our favorite part of this whiskey was the nose; overall, though, we can't recommend it, at least based on our palates. This drinks even thinner and more blandly than most 40% ABV whiskies, and while this isn't age stated, we think it's quite young - those acetone notes on the palate and finish were a giveaway.

78% corn, 12% rye, 10% barley. The distillate is filtered before and after aging, which gives it a subtle bouquet
Oh my god, smells like a tube of UHU glue. If you like. Burnt caramel in the taste.

Good extension of classic Jack Daniel's Old No. 7. Smoother, sweeter, more elegant and tasty. The disadvantage is the very short finish. And even empty dram loses flavor quickly. But keeps classic style! The worthy drink!

Mash bill: 80% corn, 12% malted barley, 8% rye. Double charcoal-mellowed: once before maturing and once after. Aged in charred American oak casks. Thick fast primary legs. Thin slow secondary legs. Trailing droplets. Sippable mellow American whiskey: moreish.

It feels very smooth, and the banana notes unique to Jackda feel clean without being too strong.
Smoother than Original No.7, but still completely unimpressive
More interesting, more recent jack, very easy to drink, I would say flies.
A nice, smooth Tennessee whiskey that feels like liquid honey. Not very pronounced, but a lot more fun than regular Jack's
Slightly sweet bourbon, honey with a hint of dark chocolate. A bit spicy with vanilla and caramel. Oak finish.

This Tennessee whiskey has flavors of fruit and spices.
I can hardly dream of a Jack Daniel's bottle that would meet my expectations, even slightly.
The sweetness of bourbon whiskey, vanilla, acetone and a slightly refreshing scent and taste.
I expected a little more rich and deep taste
Quite nice. Benefits from ice.
On the nose it's vanilla, oak, corn, some herbs, orange zest, caramel Palate is corn, caramel, spicy, tobacco, some chocolate Finish is quite short, nutty, oak and vanilla
I really like bourbon/tennessee whiskey. Super delicate in taste. I recommend :)
Sweet, honey, vanilla. Actually not that bad.
Well, they say that Gentleman Jack was Sinatra's favourite whiskey. It won't be mine, but I am holding it in very hiugh esteem. Nose: bananas, toffee, oatmeal, orange, cinnamon Taste: similar, but also nutty Finish: fresh, soft, well-balanced, nutty, woody
Drinkable whiskey. Does not have any complexity at all.

no complexity at all. really short/shallow taste. I don't get the good reviews. It's not bad but it's JUST MEH whiskey.
Absolutely surprising how smooth and drinkable this is. Definitely nothing too fancy going on flavor wise. Not challenging what so ever. But it is pleseant to drink as hell.
