В аромате — медовые соты, старые книги и почтовые марки, сушёные абрикос и слива, трубочный табак, травы и перец, поверх которых узнаваемый морской характер: солёный бриз, канаты, плавник, влажный дуб и лёгкие клубы дыма; многие отмечают сложность и «старомодную» пыльность, а также цитрус (лимон, экзотические сорта), персик и нектарин. Вкус маслянистый и обволакивающий, с солёно-перечной атакой, йодистым медицинским торфом, но и приятной сладостью (мёд, крем-карамель, тянучка), сушёными фруктами, тёмным шоколадом и пряностями — имбирь, шафран, белый и чёрный перец. Послевкусие долгое, тёплое, дымно-солёное с абрикосом и перцем. Опытные ревьюеры почти единодушны (91–93) и хвалят элегантность, сохранённую ДНК Talisker и глубину при возрасте в 30 лет. Среди остальных разброс шире: высшая оценка (95) отмечает мягкость и исключительно долгое послевкусие в стиле 18-летнего, тогда как критика бьёт по обратному — водянистость и чрезмерное влияние дуба с предпочтением прежних версий бочковой крепости (84), утрата выразительности с возрастом и сухой пепельный остаток, мыльно-«банный» финал (89), а также ослабленный фирменный характер (88). При общей согласованности вокруг 90–91 именно сохранность торфа, тела и баланс сладости с солёностью разводят мнения.

This is really old style whisky - full of honey and old stamps and a touch of smoke - great!

Mandoras & Uglis When I tasted a Talisker 30 Year Old for the first time, the price tag was such that I could not afford to buy a bottle of it. This gem must now cost more than EUR 1,000. But thanks to a good friend, I was able to get my hands on a sample of the 30-year-old from 2011. Come on, for old time's sake. Mighty nose! The delicious DNA of Talisker is immediately present with its so-called trinity, namely citrus, pepper and peat. Autumn leaves on the ground after a rain shower, jute bags, ship's rope, peaches, dried apricots, sultanas, juicy nectarines, pineapple candies, honey, licorice and paprika powder. There's a lot going on here and every time I put my nose in the glass, I smell new things. Complex is the word you are looking for. Good body and immediately something dusty, which gives it an old school character. Now salt and pepper come first – and not even a little! Spicy! Then follow the (not so) delicate peat smoke and the fruit that I already had on the nose, albeit in a stew. In the long finish I finally get the long-awaited citrus fruit (mandoras and uglis) supplemented with quite a bit of seaweed and woodsmoke. Incredibly tasty stuff that you can sit down and enjoy.

It's full-bodied, rich and complex in one way, but also very elegant and restraint in other ways.

You can feel the sea water of the Talisker right away, this salty breeze combined with vanilla, freshness, apricots, apple, thyme? There is sweetness, a clear influence of borubon barrels, some smoke, salty oak, oily for 46%. The finish is lasting, pleasant, with salted apple, oak and light spicy notes. I would try CS!

the most beautiful thing about this Talisker is its nose then you expected a lot you can almost smell his age and his secrets In the mouth, the age prevails too as many interesting flavors but not completely convinced as if something had been lost over the years an afterword I still have cold, dry ashes in my mouth

Nose: typical old tali, maritime smoke, caramel, pine needles, forest soil, some soap (?), Old and dignified Taste: oily, smoke with a lot of caramel, then comes the pepper and some charcoal Finish: very long, sweet with smoke and a lot of pepper, but ends soapy, bath salt, sauna infusion (???) Pity for the soap, otherwise brilliant - 89 points

A good Talisker, but relatively thin and with a noticeable woody influence. I enjoyed the previous cask strength versions better

The nose is soft and complex but does not show 30 years of age at all. The palate and aftertaste are exceptionally long. This 30yo is in the style of the 18yo but even more rounded.

It's very fragrant, with a stronger pear flavor and not much of a Talisca feel. Personally, I prefer the 2017 version of the tobacco.

Colour: Gold Body: Medium/Full Nose: Wow, a very different Talisker. Big beautiful old oak. Quite maritime with lots of brine, sea air, brine soaked rope and sail, tonnes of driftwood and old wet oak. I love the subtle wisps of wood smoke infused with citrusy lemon! In the background there's still some fruit with apple, lemon and lime- It's a little oaky but nice. Orange peel too. Spices coming through now- Fresh ginger and some white pepper. Water: More aromatic, full and fruity (A bit more life to it). All the notes above but bigger, bolder and (Somehow) better. The smoke is making more of an appearance too. Taste: Wow! Oh God, it's beautiful. Creamy arrival, very oily mouthfeel. Rich, exotic spices build- Saffron, ginger and white and black pepper. Fruity and becoming fruitier- Dusty oak but red apple, quite fresh orange. Maritime with sea air and salty brine crust. More spices build with old driftwood oak and salty smoke coming through and infusing into everything else. Water: More fruity with more wood smoke in the development then spicy oak citrus. Complex smoke and salty oak. Finish: Very long/Long length. Quite fruity actually with red apple, sea salt and a hint of wood smoke and old driftwood.

Great Instantly recognizable Talisker.
Нос 93 Nose: Instantly recognizable Talisker, it’s great how much DNA this still shares with the standard Talisker 10 Years. Whiffs of dried seaweed, decaying leaves, hemp rope and creosote, this is extremely elegant. There’s pickled lemons, peaches and nectarines too, followed by smoked paprika powder.
Вкус 93 Taste: This Talisker 30 Years has a rather fatty mouthfeel. Salty and peppery arrival followed by some iodine and medicinal peat, but there’s an enjoyable sweetness here too, like crème caramel. Also bung cloth and stewed fruits, as well a rum-soaked raisins and a touch of gingerbread.
Финиш 92 Finish: Long with some wood smoke, brine and some apricots.
