Quite nice whiskey. Neat Bushmills with steam. Personally, I don't think the finish is so well integrated and - inevitably - it doesn't seem particularly mature either. It's good to drink, but I don't necessarily have to have it again.

Short note: Very pleasant, slightly dirty sherry and wine notes, I would have blindly guessed port finish. There are also wood and oak aromas, which, together with the barrel influences and perhaps a marginal note of sulphur, ensure a warm and soft round thing. I like the result very much!

Nose: From the 1920 Blenders Glass, the alcohol is a bit oppressive at first. After a short period of getting used to it, strong roasted notes (coffee beans, freshly ground), dark chocolate, caramel. Slightly nutty, works like a liquid toffee in places. Rather enigmatic notes of berries, raspberries and cherries. Mouth: Short, slightly peppery at first contact, then a consistent continuation of the nose. Something fruitier maybe. Chocolate covered berries. Also light notes of red apple. Blueberry vanilla jam. Chocolate, hazelnut, toffee. The chocolate is rather dark, the whiskey is not too sweet. Finish: Medium length, gets a little drier here, more like dark chocolate. There is also some caramel and a hint of pomegranate. 89/100 Conclusion: A whiskey like a liquid dessert. What's the point of chocolate pudding when you could have a dram of it? I like it very much, especially that it doesn't drift too much into the sweet.

COLOUR: Amber (without colouring!) - good aromatic Irish whiskey - definitely better to drink with water - compared to the Causeway 13 years (2008/2021) definitely at least 2 points behind BUT - for 65 - 70€ you can't go wrong, you get a good tasty Bushmills without coloring and in cask strength (both are rare)

You really have to let it melt in your mouth: Bushmills, 10 years old, finished in Cuvée Casks, 54.8%. My first whiskey was a Bushmills 10 and it was 40%. That's it And since then for about 24 years. How often have I thought: how does the 10 taste like with a few more turns? Last year finally a 10 with 46%. And now this one. What Bushmills has been pulling out with its Causeway Collection since last year - that you can still experience it. I like this 10 a bit better than last year's 10. That creamy chocolate-caramel note is pretty great.

Нос	88	At first glance, it's not that dissimilar to the Bushmills 10 Causeway Collection Cognac Finish from last year, but it quickly turns in its own direction. Caramel, toffee and toasted bread give the nose a crispy, creamy depth. At first absolutely dominant, after a while strawberries, raspberries and dried apricots appear, which give the nose a pleasant sweetness. Caramel and toffee in the background ensure that there is not too much of a good thing with the sweet stuff. A mild-spicy note permeates, looks good next to the fruits and the flavors mentioned at the beginning. A little nougat, nut chocolate, marzipan. All in all, a nose that I stick to for a long time.

Нос	87	Modern, young, and rather cask-driven, but extremely well made: it has a presence and immediate intensity that is hard to argue with. Aromas of (fortified) wine, Christmas spices, roast nuts, citrus, pastry, fir trees and red berries, all of which are successfully pushed to the fore by the elevated alcohol content. Water releases some sulphuric notes. The nose is better undiluted.
Вкус	83	Hugely sweet and spicy. Well sherried, aromatic and a bit winey. Quite sharp when undiluted; burns as it goes down. With water, it settles down somewhat, but also loses some of its intensity. Now some sulphur comes out as well.

A Germany Exclusive from the Causeway Collection, which is one of the special editions from Bushmills. The whiskey was released in 2021 and will still be available in a few online shops in spring 2024. That's not encouraging... It was finished in Cuvée Casks, which could be wine barrels in which wines were blended into a Cuvée. Bushmills is one of my favorite old Irish whiskeys. But somehow I lost sight of the distillery. The classic is the triple-distilled Bushmills 16 - bottled at 40% ABV, so it's chill-filtered, colored and available for around €70. These are no longer the basic data that I use to select my whiskeys today. glen-efze.de

Scent: beautifully integrated cedarwood note, almost ethereal, alcohol very well integrated, burnt caramel, pine cones, cola note, dark chocolate, Hanuta. A colorful fruit salad with lots of fruitiness and sweetness. But also roasted nuts and delicate cocoa and caramel notes. At the beginning with a lot of s... er, lovage, but after a few minutes in the glass that disappears. Full and oily in the mouth, chocolate and coffee dominate at first, but then there is also a lot of fruit. At the end there is a spiciness that I find pleasant rather than disturbing. The finish is medium-long with bitter chocolate and coffee aromas predominating.

Summary: delicious whiskey for around 50€. I wouldn't pay anything over 60€. pretty tasty to just drink but also leave something to take your time and pick apart a little.

Нос	85	Toffee/ caramel on a little (too) strongly toasted toast, slowly dried apricots and apple are added.. also a light wild berry after about 20 minutes. In the glass, the whiskey gradually acquires a few Christmassy notes: marzipan, raisins, grandma's cookies and, at the end, hazelnut chocolate that is becoming increasingly creamy.

Нос	88	Glencairn. almost 89 I didn't expect that. Intense, power, spiciness, softness, more complex and rounder than expected. The cask strength here is milder than expected, but sometimes nice. At the same time a bit flowery and still dark chocolate.

For me it's drinkable and not too alcoholic. Price/performance ratio OK, there are better Irish ones, but they're also more expensive

The Bushmills 2010 from the Causeway Collection was initially matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks before receiving a finish in Cuvée Wine Casks. Nose: Peach, apricot, a touch of vanilla, red fruits. Pleasant and approachable. But nothing more than that. Taste: Caramel, pear, fig, with hints of almond. The wine influence remains pleasantly subtle. Soft, uncomplicated, and enjoyable. Finish: Medium length, fruit and wood. Conclusion: Interchangeable. The Causeway Series has produced significantly more interesting bottlings – those familiar with those will find something lacking here. But it does have its place: when friends who aren't particularly interested in whiskey come to visit, it'll go down easily. It's suitable for that purpose.

Aroma: Influences from the wine and sherry casks dominate, with sweet, heavy berry aromas. There are also strong spicy notes and hints of nut aromas. coffee and tobacco. A real heavyweight compared to the standard bottling. Taste: Spicy, with a clear oak impact, which is probably due to the French wine barrels. A strong body gives this Bushmills malt a full mouthfeel and a lot of punch on the tongue. Despite the high alcohol strength, there is no sharpness, at most a pleasant tingle. aftertaste: Medium length, with a slight dryness at the end. No residual sweetness, but rather a tart chocolate. Conclusion: What a difference to the standard ten! While the regular Bushmills 10 is dominated by ripe apple notes, the Cuvée Cask showers us with an abundance of sweet, dark berry aromas. The higher alcohol content gives it a depth rarely experienced at Bushmills. At a price of currently around 60-70 euros, this cask-strength bottling is highly recommended.

....and after the 2008 again a really great malt with 10 years and unbelievable sparkle from the cuvee finish thanks thanks Bushmills I've been drinking whiskeys for a long time but what Bushmills has been bringing to the market with the Causeway Collection since 2020 is really a quality that I in the order of the bottlings have not yet experienced. These are whiskeys in the top league for my taste buds because unfortunately the Scots can cut a giant slice of it really great cinema I'm actually too bored to discuss the price but this one cost me €70. Barrel strong, not chill-filtered, great cuvée finish, great.

Soft and round. Easy drinking. However, there are also a variety of flavors.

The alcohol on the nose is somewhat disturbing, otherwise clear wine aromas. There is not much to remember about the original distillate. Fortunately, the alcohol on the palate and on the finish is no longer so penetrating. Not a bad whiskey, but it's almost completely dominated by the cask, which is a shame. Doesn't convince me as a whole package, I expected more.

I really like this ''Bushmills'', but I was hoping for a bit more. The subtle sulfur accompaniment is not tragic in itself, but in combination with the somewhat snappy alcohol it bothers me a little when enjoying it, even if the rest has many pleasant sides to it.
