Суммаризация отзывов
В носах чаще всего описывают дым/торф вместе с шерри, сухофруктами и сладостью: «Smoke, cigar, sherry and fruit» (r1), «smoke, the sweet sherry aromas» (r9), «Sherry, peat, spiciness» (r12), «Peaty, Strong and Creamy Sherry» (r22), «Sweet, campfire, sherry, smoked bacon… dried fruit, honey» (r33).
Часть отзывов прямо говорит о молодости и/или недостаточной интеграции: «too young» (r2), «noticeably too young» (r17), «the smoke and sherry were not well integrated… almost confused» (r40), «rather inharmonic» (r40).

Smoke, cigar, sherry and fruit. Old forest (moss). So intense you don't notice the alcohol even though it's 54 abv. |

Peat and spice. Also tobacco and medicinal notes. Less sherry than the nose, more like dried fruit and honey. It comes together brilliantly. You could have a whole bottle to yourself and still find new things. |

Medium to long. Sweetness, but that fades. What lingers is a campfire in an old forest with mossy tree trunks. |
Not bad, but too young. It can hardly compete with any Kilchoman whisky.

Berries, stone fruits (plum), firewood, nutmeg, herbs, apple, medicinal "Mulled wine on a stove" Warm, sweet, and smoky. Ardbeg’s peaty character blends harmoniously with the sherry influence. Sweet berries and stone fruits meet mulled-wine warmth, alongside Ardbeg’s signature firewood and medicinal notes. The peat isn’t overpowering, allowing the sweeter aromas to shine. Behind the sweetness come gentle herbal notes and the scent of ripe apples. Strong yet soft on the nose. |

Asphalt, berries, apple, peach, plum, coal, grape juice "Stronger peat, deeper sweetness" The peat is stronger than on the nose, yet the sweetness of berries and stone fruits holds its ground. Warm mulled-berry tones, peach, and plum emerge, with a faint hint of chocolate. Asphalt and coal notes appear together—Ardbeg being unmistakably Ardbeg. |

Leather, coal, apple, grape, kumquat "A finish that feels modest compared to the performance before it" The impressive showing up front is followed by a finish that feels a tier lighter. A smoky peat burst comes and goes quickly. Rather than berry or grape, apple and kumquat-like citrus notes stand out more clearly. |
The fragrance has a light peaty scent, but is more of a fruity sherry cask aroma. It's not a heavy sherry scent; it's refreshing with lemon and grapefruit peel notes, combined with fresh red grapes and cranberries, along with a hint of rose and a slightly salty, smoky, cured meat-like quality. It's a very layered and pleasant fragrance with minimal alcohol. It's completely different from the current Ugandan style, which seems to have a lot of worn-out sherry casks. It has a very layered flavor profile. The initial taste is a sweet and smooth blend of red grapes and cream, very pleasant and smooth without being oily, and almost entirely without alcohol. The first taste fades quickly, followed by a gradual transformation. First, there's a slightly bitter herbal note, but that also fades quickly, transitioning into a smoky, campfire-like flavor. Then comes a slightly salty taste with hints of spice, and finally, a very authentic peaty flavor. This warm, sweet peaty is what I consider the perfect Arbe. Finally, after slowly swallowing the last bit of peat in my mouth, the rich peat flavor surged up again, a second mini-peak of peat, which I really enjoyed; it was incredibly refreshing. The finish was long, and after the peat subsided, you could feel a subtle smokiness, followed by a taste of salted cured meat with some spices, a slight bitterness, but still pleasant.

Smell: Since the bottle has been awake for eight months, the edges and corners of the alcohol have been wiped out, and the aroma is more unimpeded. The main theme is the salty sea breeze and minerals, like iron beater oil overturning the old ones. On the bottom of the book, there is a hint of tomato stewed beef brisket, the picture is clear and balanced, very attractive Drink: Although the bottle has been awake for a long time, the entrance is still turbulent, soot and sweetness are intertwined, the sea water is beating on the shore reef, the mullet roe is grilled with a gun, which has a high degree of complexity, and the end rhyme is in the bitterness and sweetness of chocolate Be extended indefinitely Feeling: Although the Ugandan version of this bottle is not the most prestigious version, it is still very beautiful.'Awake in a bottle for eight months' has somewhat improved the sense of balance and taste, which may lead to a slightly higher score. It is also a real feeling that Uganda uses a higher proportion of sherry barrels than Oku no Cape and lower than Black Bay. It is bottled with non-condensing filtration and high alcohol strength, which gives it a very comfortable balance and can still be found. A lot of the original imprint of the winery, I think it is the second only to 10 years of conventional products, and the price is very high. (This is an old note in my notebook, using the old scoring system. Although this will result in a high score, I still want to show this score.)

N: Smoky, smoked, bacon, grilled meat, citrus, ash, light sherry A strong smokiness worthy of Ardbeg’s name. Notes of smoke, bacon, and crispy grilled meat. Beneath the smoke, citrus emerges, reminiscent of lemon peel. A charred ash note. Light hints of sherry in the background. |

An utterly reliable benchmark bottling. No drop in quality over the last ten years or so. Deep, dark, ashy.

Everything fits with the Uigeadail, the smoke, the sweet sherry aromas and the strength of the whisky
The alcohol content is higher than Ten, but the finish is lower. There is a strong aging and sherry cask lactic acidity, and at the same time, it is difficult to find positive spices or grapes.
Peat seems to be ahead of many things, but that's not unexpected. Maybe the dilution wasn't done properly; that would explain the lower intensity than I expected. It's obvious why it's a classic, but it's not hard to guess that the old ones were better. Price performance: Medium Would I buy it again?: On a proper shelf, I wouldn't reach for this bottle first.

Very biscuity, vanilla butter biscuit and mossy. Lots of iodine but even more green apple. Green notes like cucumber. Intense malt sweetness in the back. Ash and smoke with typical Islay peat. The mossy note comes to the fore a bit and seems to close the whisky but it is here with sherry sweetness and light red fruits. |

Smooth and typical of Islay, but a bit ordinary. |

Medium-long, with dried fruit and coffee aromas. |
A lot of peat, and sea salt, and brine. The peat, smoke, and sea taste almost overshadows the rest of the taste notes, but not completely. Also vanilla, chocolate, and dried fruits (cherry, and raisins), pepper, and tobacco notes. Very short finish. Mouthfeel could be better. Still an amazing whisky. Either it is not as amazing as I remembered, or my palate changed.
There are enough notes for this malt, so I'll save them in this case. One of the few Ardbegs that I really like. A really great bottling for the price of around 65 euros. The question remains why all the overpriced committee releases are needed when there is such delicious stuff in the standard range....

Nose: Smoky, sweet chocolate scent, berry scent masked by a light boudoir, hay scent Palate: Weak peat on first touch, quite straightforward sweetness, fruity aroma, faint spiciness that fades quickly, salty finish. Finish: The spiciness hits hard, leaving behind the sweetness and fruitiness of bread. The smokiness is subtle in the aftertaste, and the saltiness lingers. Rather than harmoniously combining Pete and Sherry's arguments, it feels like "Me, Pete!!! Me, Sherry!!!!!" with strong self-assertion. But I think it is a whisky that represents each other well because they are good at striking and retreating rather than interfering with one another.

Uigeadail is the name of the Loch located above the distillery which constitutes its source. Voted best Single Malt in the world in 2009. It is a subtle blend of 10 and 13 year old barrels and 1970 barrels. Pronounced: Ooog-e-dal
Ardbeg meets sherry, a combination as you would expect. Everything fits with the Uigeadail, the smoke, the sweet sherry aromas and the strength of the whisky. Only the strong batch fluctuations can be a bit annoying from time to time.

It is by no means the most balanced or complex dram but this is not what this dram is for. What it does deliver is intense peat with lashings of sherry influence, all at a high strength. Value (£50) : 9/10
First nose is a salty breeze, even a nasal solution. After a few minutes it develops some unexepected green aspects, pine or juniper notes, and a light honeyed undertone. Impression in mouth is bitter, on the greener side of the nose. Rotten wood almost. Medicinal smoke and spices. Finishes quite fast, on the same notes. The sherry have gone missing, and I'm pretty sure something went wrong with some casks. I'll need to revisit the bottle when it gets some more air. 3/10 so far.

Ah Oogie. My first "favorite" whisky. It's still great. I've had enough bottles at this point to notice the narrative of "older releases were better." Couple that with how the price has gone up, it's not the permashelf buy it used to be. Always on shelves, always glad to see it.

To me, still an absolute banger and the benchmark which I measure all other Ardbegs against. Definitely worth the extra price over the Ardbeg 10 and has surpassed Corryvreckan the last few years imo. I very much tend to prefer my peaters in ex-bourbon, but the Uggie has proven to be an exception to this rule for me.
Welel balanced, smoke, peat, spices, sweetness, all mixed in a superb way. The high ABV helps to take a full experience of that dram that let the peat raise and valorize others flawors..... A perfect dram to close an autumn diner.

The everlasting battle between corry and uige fans. However, incomparsible for me. Trying four of cour range in one degustation, this was way better than an oa, however, still a little less what you expect from 'the king of peat'. Can not compare with corry by any means except the abv. As a person who dislikes bourbon and prefers sherry in 95/100 cases, this one doesn't seem like mine. Not bad by any means, however, incomparsible and not even close to corry for me. I would say ledaig 18 would be slightly better, even though ardbeg is my favourite distilery. Rating is mostly based among other ardbegs, and not all whiskys, because ardbeg is incomparsible at some point due to it's being the best peated whisky in the world.

While Ardbeg TEN is, for me, a prime example of peated whisky, truly legendary, boasting an exceptionally high price-to-quality ratio, I can't help but appreciate this beauty, which, frankly, better suits my preferences. I'm simply enchanted by the balance between the rough peat and the sweetness of sherry. This whisky is like the warmth of a chimney on a capricious, breezy autumn afternoon. Earl Grey with a slice of lemon, dark chocolate sprinkled with sea salt. Cherries in liqueur, smoked and dried meat in BBQ sauce. Marvelous!
