A delicious single malt and the fragrance is sweet and soft with various fruits, honey, vanilla and malt. The taste is of herbs, honey, vanilla, licorice and the aftertaste is lightly seasoned and a little dry.

A good Glenfiddich although very classic. The spices bring a little drought and unbalance the sweetness of the dram. A good speyside unpretentious, accessible and enjoyable, but do not expect to take a slice of taste. Available for about 60 €, it will delight your friends as an aperitif!

Нос	87	Sweet and fully ripe yellow fruits - pear, quince, apricot, apricot; Wine gums; Vanilla and blossom honey; light spice. The alcohol is clear, slightly spicy but not disturbing. Overall, a very voluminous, almost massive nose.
Вкус	84	Clear alcohol, pepper, some fruity sweetness, which is quickly replaced by salty liquorice, coffee beans, walnut and a little oak, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, drier than the smell can expect. For me, the whisky is more on the woody-spicy side.
Финиш	84	The creamy mouthfeel and the spicy, bitter woody notes remain quite long and impressive in the mouth.

At the time he was a great tasting at the trade fair, but so far the content of the bottle has not really impressed me. He is so bitter that it is no fun. I like wood, but the balance is not there. This is so much better than the IPA experiment. It still isn’t a very complex or intriguing whisky (but what can you expect from a +/- €50,- NAS whisky?) but simply nice and quaffable. It still feels like quite a young, simple and nippy whisky but the flavours and aromas are better balanced and have some more depth to them compared to the IPA experiment. All in all simple and quaffable Glenfiddich

Pours clear pale yellow. Scent is full, loads of oak and refinement. leather. Medium alcohol. intense flavors. Higher alcohol. very oaky. Going towards glue - positively. Lovely - especially concidering it's price.

Nose: A green-herbal note reminiscent of watery-sour pickled capers. Woody-strict, oak bark, malty ibuprofen, no fruit far and wide. After airing for a while, a hint of citrus creeps out. Mouth: A rather nasty bitter start, like in an overdose of nutmeg. The bitterness starts to burn and wood, and in between, hints of sweetener keep flashing, but Natreen. And water only makes it worse. Tail: I also find a furry tongue with bitter, wet sawdust here. After the third Glenfiddich in this series of tastings, I feel the need to buy a tongue scraper more and more clearly... XX appears to be a warning.

On the nose, diffuse sensation of varied fruits, sweet spices, a little peppery On the palate, it is better with various fruits (orange, apple, grapes), a sweet side that pulls marshmallow, malt is present in the background, wood-leather feel fleeting but present, alcohol is good integrated! A Glenfiddich, who sometimes brings more than the usual 40% ABV. This has an effect on the mouthfeel as well as the finish. Otherwise, a pristine GF in the nose. The fine fruity Distilieriekarakter the 12er can be seen here and also, in my opinion, a few traces of the 18s. Considering that this malt is a NAS, so without an age, it is easy to guess what qualities of the 12y, 15y. 18y would have, if Glenfiddich had the courage to fill them with a little more ABV.

Light on the nose, almost wine like but then some orange and fudge notes arrive which are better. Rough, and unbalanced is my first view but I will keep drinking to be sure, actually that is exactly what it is like a young wild whisky but I quite enjoyed it because it was lively and the 47% works,

Pleasant, I imagine it would be great after a typical Italian lunch on Sunday, accompanying some sfogliatella. Even if it's light, I want a bottle!

Нос	86	Screams "Glenfiddich": sweet pastry upfront, well balanced with some chocolate and vanilla. Seems something inbetween a rum and a bourbon. Tannins come over after resting for some minutes. Some fresh fruit, maybe pears. Some old wood. Some oranges. So - what came to my mind is a cheesecake with chocolate and orange topping. If that's not a balance...
Вкус	63	Malt upfront. Pretty lightbodied and fresh, maybe some pepper, maybe some spice (origan, so light that it's in a galaxy far far away...). Light chocolate and tannins. As you can see, that's all a "maybe" because it has a pretty light flavour. It may have been better at a higher ABV, but it's anyway good as it is.
Финиш	70	Short. Wood and vanilla knocks at your throat in a hurry, then they're gone. Maybe some light vanilla stays, but the main flavour that this whisky leaves in your mouth is that of fresh fruit (pears, maybe peaches?). Maybe some tannin notes. Same as the taste - light, but does its work. Leaves a pleasant sensation in your mouth. In conclusion: I'm surprised by the balance that these (not so many) flavours express mostly in the nose, which is the best part of this whisky for sure. Even if it scored kind of low for me, I want to drink this "orange&chocolate cheesecake" again soon.

I just got this as a gift. Who does good, meets well - I have just returned some nice surprises. Fragrance of ripe fruit, melon, round, full, soft and sweet; so classic speyside. In the taste leather and sweet tobacco, grain and significantly less fruit than the smell announces. Nice stuff, this, with honey and vanilla. When I lick my lips there is a trace of strawberry - no, not a lip balm, from the whisky. Nice balance, no pronounced winners in this soft comfort whisky with some Christmas in the aftertaste. 84 points. If you can get it for 4 euros it is perfect; the average price of 50-60 euros is too high.

Nose: Sugared sour cherries, red wine, blood oranges and a short touch of a typical sweet bourbon cask nose with vanilla. Taste: Almonds, red berries, sherry flavor (cocoa), gooseberry jam. The mouth feel becomes sweeter with every sip. Finish: Nicely long. Sweet punch with red berries again, some oak, licorice.

This whisky is a bit fragile, cloudy with more than 2 drops of water immediately and breaks down violently. Or is he filigree? The distillery flavors are fully present despite two sherry butts and a port pipe. Maybe this whisky something splits the community, because on the tongue first all fruits are also present from the barrels, a vlogger speaks here of "@ bäh" (strawberry) and backward push only fresh bourbon barrels. This order is unusual and maybe strange, I like it, higher strength and un-chillfiltered are a unique selling point in this class at Glenfiddich. Conclusion: Outstanding, strong buy

Fresh, fruit in the nose, a bit of vanilla. Also sampled licorice in the finish, slightly salty and greasy. Very fine Glenfiddich, just another twist than their classics. I think the XX is a finer edition than the 18-year-old Glenfiddich. Price quality is top (average € 55.00 / € 60.00)!

I really don't understand the low rating here. It's a bit too good for that, even if it's not a Highland. If you like Glenfiddich's clean, light and summer-fruity profile, then this is a good and exciting standard and with the subtle port notes it's also a nice change.

Вкус	86	Here it is a bit too cute and also rather simply knitted. But this is not a single cask either and for the price I find what is offered on the palate more than good. The 47 percent give it sufficient intensity. Slightly salty aromas of sugar liquorice.
Финиш	86	Rather creamy sweet mouthfeel and not particularly complex. A slightly bitter note at the back. The finish is medium length with a tingling sweetness. Solid.

I like it better than the IPA, which came out in about the same time. Maybe also due to the higher alk. Volume. I would tend to want a higher Alc. Vol. At Glenfiddich anyway. I would imagine that this could bring a bit more power, complexity and own touch to the whiskys. However, as a bulk bottler and leader (or currently second in sales behind Glenlivet) difficult. XX: A nice barrel selection and well tuned. Very rich and fruity. Slightly peppery and slightly oily. Cinnamon, honey and a balanced oak cargo. Long finish with a sweet finish. Very good PLV!

Sweet and fruity in the mouth with honey and pears. Slightly peppery. Much fuller than the 15. Nice wine notes in the finish, sherry and dark chocolate with a little oak. More intense and a little longer than the 15. Grade: 2+

Again and again, Glenfiddich is dismissed as a simple and unsuspecting standard and possibly the entry point into the world of the Malts. The older years of the classic Speysider already show that this is anything but justified. But even with the Experimental Series, Glenfiddich succeeded in making interesting and extremely tasty whiskys without an age statement, I think. The IPA had already convinced me - contrary to many other opinions. The XX offers a bit more variety and complexity, even if I personally liked the tart beer in the IPA even better.

Нос	84	The copper-gold Fiddich experiment welcomes the nose with fruity and floral notes, a little plum and cocktail cherry, apple cider and warm cherry crumble cake with a little dab of vanilla sauce and cinnamon, because the sweetness is clear overall, but restrained. Red Rabenhorster fruit juice, rose petals and a hint of hyacinth complete the fruity-floral impressions before the XX reveals with a slight peppery tingling almost surprisingly fresh and edgy malt, mash, sweet oak and a hint of fresh popcorn. Nice and varied overall.
Вкус	83	Vigorous and even slightly tingling, the XX immediately takes up the mouth. But where are the 47 volume percent? And I don't mean the question negatively. There is no burning and no biting, comfortably gently warming gives the XX a similar impression as when otherwise significantly higher alcohol levels in the mouth gradually evaporate and appear to change into the gaseous state. At the same time, there is more aroma than I had expected at this alcohol content, and at the same time less of the sharpness that is often common in the late forties. Sugar candy and soft wood notes briefly take the lead and are complemented appropriately by marzipan, hazelnut nougat and the apple-cherry composition already known from the nose.
Финиш	82	The finish is convincing overall, soft and round, at first the impressions subside and I am tempted to just announce a medium-long finish, but then memories of marzipan, cake batter, red fruits and a little bit of iron last much longer - a pleasant surprise!

Very nice experiment I must say! And good value for money when you can get your hands on it for €60 a bottle. Lost one point in the nose though when nosing it back after a while - alas, total score going from 87 to 86. Tasted on 02/04/2017 in a Glenfiddich line-up (WB ID's 76463, 72490, 19148, 86462, 86461, in that order).

Very playful and colorful nose, even a bit wacky. Very sweet, almost artificially so; the candyfloss comparison that can be found in the official tasting notes is spot on, but you could also say bubblegum. Beneath all these gummy, saccharine aromas, there's some active (and newish) oak, together with distinctly vinous notes (Port? Madeira?). Waaaay in the background, perhaps a wee leathery note, as if some older casks might've been involved as well to provide a sense of backbone. Not exactly mad for the nose, I have to tell ya. In the mouth, it's redeemed somewhat. The virgin oak works nicely here and gives some much-needed depth to the sparkly, youthful flavors of citrus fruits (tangerines, mainly), red berries (redcurrants and a wisp of raspberry), and vanilla-coconut pudding. Perhaps some popcorn as well, or is that just the overall sweetness? Good mouthfeel. The finish is on the short side. Some Seltzer / Tonic Water and swiftly fading bitterness. Verdict: a bit of a Frankenstein, cobbled together from disparate parts. Easy to drink though, and with a nice tannic kick. A summer affair, all the way.

There are 20 masters each have a good barrel - due to the selling price, of course, not the oldest and most complex - selected from the warehouses and mixed into a magic trannies. This would now so about 10'000 bottles ... Due to the different bottle codes and the long sales years - in my code L34A45081808133537 in 2016 - I guess cheeky times that the masters have performed their tricks repeatedly. Of course, this is not at all disgusting, but it makes the comparability of the different tasting notes a little more difficult.

2018 bottling: The project failed! The whisky seems rather immature. At the same time, a few below-par casks have crept in. The sharpness of youth and the unclean casks of port make for a burning tongue and receding gums. Caution: Danger of periodontal disease!

With 17 bourbon casks, 2 sherrry casks and a port cask combined you get quite a mixed bag. Despite negative reviews I find it’s definitely good value for money. It has sweet bourbon notes, vanilla, bush honey, fruity, berries and slight bitterness from tannins, maybe old casks. It’s unique and quite tasty. For the price I will probably get a bottle.

fruits, flowers, the spices from the casks, sweet honey and fresh apples. the ABV is really nice. reminds me of the Snow Phoenix which was one of my favorits. but this one is younger, more feisty. Some really nice NAS for reasonable price allthouogh it is limited - well done Glenfiddich!!

Nose: typical Fiddich, lots of light fruit, pear, some coconut, fresh menthol, decent sweetness after caramel, good shot oak, subtle dried fruit, altogether quite light, velvety, well balanced, alcohol well integrated Taste: nice, velvety mouthfeel, first an intense sweetness, then a lot of bright fruits, pear compote, some oak, nice freshness / menthol, maybe a bit too spicy Finish: short to medium-long, again caramel sweetness and a lot of pear, with some oak Conclusion: nice Every Day Dram with good PLV, but not outstanding. For the money, I would probably rather prefer the 15yo - 84 points

Surprisingly good. I find myself gravitating towards this bottle repetedly. It has similarities to the Glenfiddich 15 year old Solera Vat, but the development is broader in range and the ABV lifts it above and beyond. My favourite Glenfiddich up to and including the 18 year old.

Serge says: Glenfiddich ‘Project XX’ (47%, OB, 2016) Another NAS, so another story, and despite the name, it’s got nothing to do with a mid-1970s Italian erotic/Sci-Fi movie, mind you. This time it’s twenty brand ambassadors (you know, our very friendly… err, friends) that selected twenty casks (how convenient) that have then been vatted together. I find the bottle as lovely as the IPA’s, they did put a lot of effort into the packaging. At £50, I’m sure my dearest concierge will buy one; Christmas trees, get ready! Colour: gold. Nose: more action. More complex, with a heavier fruity style, figs, raisins, some fresh butter, a lovely maltiness, many cakes, kugelhopf, yellow flowers, a touch of heather honey, then fresh oranges… I really find this nose lovely. Mouth: much more classic than the IPA, with more depth, and something that reminds me of the older 15 yo Cask Strength. Cakes and raisins, apple pie, artisan cider, then a bigger tannicity. Indeed it is rather tannic, in the style of some rural young Calvados. Finish: quite long, quite tannic, quite spicy, but the apples and the dryish raisins are keeping the freshness. Comments: the most Glenfiddich of them two. I may have to speak with my concierge. SGP:451 - 82 points.

Overall this is good whisky. It is awfully sad this had been chill filtered and not cask strength. A clear example of ruining a whisky by trying to create something for everybody. Yet still not an bad whisky.

Нос	87	It is sweet, mellow, a little speculoos, a hint of sherry notes but overall it has bourbon notes, so sweet vanilla and a touch of wood. There is also the famous French whore perfume in here. It's an odd nose which touches quite some corners. Not bad though!
Вкус	83	Thin and bitter arrival. After that sweetness, a tad leather and a hint of cigarboxes. A bit spicy. Hint of a sherry influence, but not much.
Финиш	82	Medium length. It is a spicy, bitter, sweet, woody complex finish. It is a shame this whisky must have been chill-filtered which has striped away so much. This finish destroys it.

This is also a very nice experiment on the part of Glenfiddich. The most pleasing is the significantly higher drinking strength and the fair price. About the aroma: In addition to the typical Glenfiddich pear, when it is lukewarm, it continues with tropical fruits and lots of caramel. Delicious.

What a fantastic whisky for the price range. complex and full and gets better if you let it rest for 10 min before drinking. a very successful experience in my opinion. try it with a pinch of sea salt in hand, totally different experience.
