В аромате преобладают мягкие красные фрукты — клубничное варенье, вишня, сушёные ягоды, дополненные мёдом, карамелью, шоколадом и цветочными нотами (розы, фиалки), а также лёгкой дубовой основой; у части авторов проступают травяные, вересковые и балансирующие бальзамические оттенки. Во вкусе те же красные ягоды и вишня сочетаются с карамелью, мёдом и отчётливым слоем перца и пряностей (корица, белый перец), нередко с восковой плёнкой и лёгкой маслянистостью; послевкусие средней длины уходит в какао, орех и сушёные фрукты, но почти все отмечают нарастающую дубовую горечь и сухую, вяжущую терпкость. Главное расхождение проходит среди опытных: один высоко оценил насыщенный, полный аромат с многослойной ягодно-шоколадной палитрой, тогда как другой счёл нос лучшей частью, а вкус — испорченным горчинкой винной бочки, из-за которой напиток «ни то ни сё» и алкоголь звучит диссонансом. Менее авторитетные авторы в целом дружелюбнее (оценки 85–86), описывая десертную сладость, выпечку и яблоки с корицей, хотя и они признают жёсткий хайлендский характер, заметный спирт и потребность во времени и воде. Оценки держатся в узком коридоре 81–86, так что согласованность высокая, а спорным остаётся именно влияние винной бочки и итоговая сбалансированность.

The nose is probably the best thing - the taste seems to be overwhelmed by a slightly bitter note. I presume it's a wine cask finish which seems to leave the dram as neither one thing or the other. I'd struggle to finish a bottle.
Нос 82 Strawberry jelly or possibly jam - soft red fruits with a touch of oak in the background.
Вкус 80 There is just about enough body to stop it from being simply watery - the taste starts with soft red fruit, but rather than the expected sweetness, there seems to be a bitter note, with the alcohol providing a further discordant note.
Финиш 80 Short - once the fruit notes dissipate there is a slightly bitter note - the wine cask seems to overwhelm the distillate.

Нос 86 Rather light, sweet, jammy, rowanberries, dried cranberries, red currant jam, apples in cinnamon, fruit syrup, apple pie, freshly baked cake sprinkled with icing.
Вкус 85 Basically consistent with the scent, there's cake, baked apples, cinnamon, orange peel, honey, toffee, a hint of fruity tartness.
Финиш 84 More bitterness appears, albedo, apple peel, caramel, young walnuts, oak.

Not for the impatient. The whisky needs a lot of time to develop and to develop its full range of aromas and flavors. This Teaninich stands for rough Highland whiskys and is not for friends of mild drams. All in all, however, a good drop with a suitable price-performance ratio. But a year or two longer in the barrel would certainly have looked even better and perhaps made it a little milder.
Нос 82 Initially a lot of grass and heather aromas that combine with a little scent of fresh vegetables. A slight malt note is added, which is then complemented by beautiful vanilla. And now, towards the end, the fruit aromas come out. Predominantly berry fruit that remains lovely on the nose.
Вкус 82 The first thing you notice is a light taste of beer. This quickly turns into spicy notes with pepper and a certain sharpness that is actually on the palate the whole time. The alcohol is still clearly noticeable, but well integrated. Nevertheless, the Teaninich can still tolerate a few drops of water. The berry notes from the nose come to the fore again and are accompanied by a herbal note and a subtle but noticeable mint taste.
Финиш 84 In the finish you can taste tart oak, again sharpness. The dram reverberates for a long time and is rather dry and astringent.

On the NOSE, at least initially wildflower honey and butter cookies, along with the contribution of nutmeg, create an olfactory barrier that is difficult to breach. As the tasting progresses, pleasant notes of cherry, violet, toffee, and Rossana candies manage to insinuate themselves, while in the background, raspberry gradually increases in intensity. A balsamic plunge, between licorice root and eucalyptus, completes the aromatic range. On the PALATE caramel takes center stage, armed with an unexpected layer of pepper. Honey, butter cookies, and apricot are closely packed right behind, while blackberries and raspberries deliver sharp side hits that land perfectly. The surprise comes from a completely unexpected waxy film. In the medium-length FINISH memories of hazelnut and caramel linger to tantalize the palate, with a hint of pepper. The inclination towards sweetness is evident, even though the sentimentality and diabetes are still far off. All things considered, it is perhaps a slightly flirtatious whisky, but why not?
